...New Mobile Car Detail Business and Web 2.0 Hi Fred! How are you doing today? I have been thinking about the new mobile car detailing business you were telling me about the other day. It sounds like an incredible opportunity. If I am correct, you were telling me you have a few employees who will be earning a commission on all sales as well as their base pay when servicing clients. You are ahead of the game already. Just to make sure you utilize all options available to you, I wanted to give you a little information regarding the newest technologies of the Internet called Web 2.0. Web 2.0 is a fantastic concept that will cut costs, increase efficiency, and ultimately assist in raising awareness and, therefore, sales. This new model is entirely based online instead of having to worry about traditional desktop computers or software needed to run on those computers. Web 2.0 encourages customer interaction on your website and social media outlets that in turn will lead to greater overall customer satisfaction thus a higher referral rate. As you know, a referral base is an ultimate goal in any business. You and your employees will have instant access to a CRM, service packages offered, GPS services, and costs. Furthermore, Web 2.0 will help them to track their sales and commissions. This ability will allow them to visualize what their co-workers are doing which, as you know, creates a healthy competition and assists in hitting the company’s KPIs. In turn, goals are...

Negotiation Exercise 2

...Management 12/10/2011 The negotiation experience that I would like to discuss occurred between the T-Mobile customer support group and me. The negotiation was concerning the switch of my mobile cell phone plan from one mobile carrier to another. The switch would allow me to take advantage of a corporate discount provided by my employer. The contract with T-Mobile was ending and I called to advise that I would not be renewing the contract and I would like to port my telephone number to another mobile carrier. T-Mobile was advised that the second line on the contract was to be terminated and it would not be ported to Verizon. The contract negotiation consists of planning, conducting the negotiation and documenting the negotiation and forming the contract. The first step of the negotiation consisted of planning the steps to verify the existence of a contacting with T-Mobile and to see if there is a contract end date. Communicate and conduct the negotiation instructions for the contract end, confirm the contract for termination fees and line porting fees. ...rarely used their old phones like they use them today. You can’t go out anymore without seeing someone using their phones, either by texting, making a call or checking or updating their status on a social network. The impact a cell phone has on youth today can be negative. According to Pamela Gardapee “Cell phones allow kids to text quiz answers, take pictures and videos of problem-solving methods for tests and leave voice messages detailing classroom pop quizzes and other events that otherwise would not spread by word of mouth in one day”. Pamela Gardapee also states “Young cell phone users know how to text while driving. They can talk on the phone or text and drive on the streets and highways without regard to the potential danger. Car accidents involving cell phones and youth have increased.” There are positive impacts on cell phones today. Joshua Wade states “Emergency agencies also support the use of mobile phones during an emergency by urging people to add the letters ICE (for "in case of emergency") in front of certain names in their mobile phone directory to designate who should be called in case of an emergency” In 20 years or less the technology on cell phones is going to change dramatically. According to Inez E Moxley “Another futuristic idea is to use optical scanning to choose letters and common words to spell out a message eliminating the need for a keyboard.” This optical scanning will be an outstanding idea but it could also be a very bad thing. I think it will...

I think one of the best examples I have seen lately of social advertising on YouTube was the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS. I doubt that many people knew what ALS was before the start of this challenge. So not only did this campaign raise over $60,000 dollars in one month using the different social media sights but it also educated the public on this devastating disease. And it was a fun thing to be a part of. I currently have a job detailing cars, trucks and boats and I have been looking for different ways to advertise my business. I have come up with an ad with the picture of the back of a generic car with the words "Wash Me Please" written sloppily on the back window. (We've all seen those dirty cars that somebody has written that on). I would also ad that I was mobile and could come to them at their work or home. I would put my name, email and cell phone number also. I would like to advertise on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Craigslist using that ad and picture. Homelessness, illness, hopelessness, and despair are all remains of the wreckage. There has been rampant unemployment in the region; consumer debt has been on the rise. This has fueled the initiative for relief programs, attempts to bridge the gap of governmentally funded programs and the shortcomings of the locally and state-funded offerings. One federal initiative allows Mississippi Home Corporation to offer below-market mortgage rates. Rebuilding has been slow due to the lack of skilled construction workers. Displacement of workers and limited education/training are major causes for the deficiency. Building permit requirements have been made more stringent...

Inventec Case

...DATE: 11-05-2005 TO: Louis Woo, CEO, Inventec Corporation FROM: Mitt Romney, Senior Consultant, Brain Consultancy RE: Securing Inventec’s Future Success Being one of Taiwan’s leading Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), in 2005 Inventec stands at a crossroads. So far Inventec’s economic activities focused on designing and manufacturing electronic products for OEMs, mainly western companies, which distributed them using their strong brand names. Since 1995 notebook PCs have been the mainstay of Inventec’s business (Appendix A). However computer industry-wide price and margin erosions are expected to continue. Having only a few core customers, ODMs have become increasingly dependent on their western counterparts, a circumstance which is used against them to obtain lower prices. This is especially true for Inventec (Appendix B). More diversified contract manufacturing partnerships and an increasing consolidation in their industry have increased OEMs’ negotiating strengths as well. As those clients have adopted aggressive pricing strategies, the only thing that counts is how fast you can deliver the lowest cost product. Exploiting even cheaper labor seems almost impossible, since large ODMs have already moved the largest proportion of their manufacturing to low-cost areas in mainland China. Meanwhile Inventec has also developed and marketed software under its own brands. As the PC hardware sector shows signs of weakening, the...

Lpg Gas Detector Using Gsm Module

...leakage in the cars, industrial sectors and residential premises using an Ideal Gas Sensor. We can easily integrate the LPG gas leakage detector unit into a unit that can sound an alarm or give a visual suggestion of the LPG concentration. The sensor used in this Project will have both admirable sensitivity and rapid response time. This sensor can also be used to sense other gases like iso-butane, propane, LNG and even cigarette smoke. The output of the sensor goes LOW as soon as the LPG sensor senses any gas leakage. This is detected by the microcontroller and the LED & buzzer are turned ON. After a delay of few milliseconds, the exhaust fan is also turned ON for throwing the gas out and a “GAS LEAKAGE” message is sent to a pre-defined mobile number using GSM Module. MQ-5 Semiconductor Sensor for Combustible Gas Sensitive material of MQ-5 gas sensor is SnO2, which with lower conductivity in clean air. When the target combustible gas exist, the sensors conductivity is Higher along with the gas concentration rising. We use simple electro-circuit, convert change of conductivity to correspond output signal of gas concentration. MQ-5 gas sensor has high sensitivity to Methane, Propane and Butane and could be used to detect both Methane and Propane. The sensor could be used to detect different combustible gas especially Methane, it is with low cost and suitable for different application. CHAPTER 2 LITERATURE REVIEW Various...
