Motivation is not always solved by management

While many organizations create these elaborate programs to aid in motivation, a small token of motivation will go a long way, because solving performance problems requires an increase and focusing on motivation. Many times upper level management don't always know the best way to solve disgruntled employees issues, and appreciating workers for what they do is a start to motivating. According to Maslow's Need Hierarchy Theory of Motivation there is an art to motivating stair-step process to accomplish the motivation. Co-workers a great motivational alternative to huge extravagant program can be taken seriously coming from what employees feel is someone “feeling their pain.”

We all know that being appreciated at work always puts a smile on your face. Management changes a lot in the call center atmosphere with turnovers, shift changes every 2 – 3 months, and of course meeting the unreachable standards to get that maximum incentive pay. One experiences many bad managers who even when hey give compliments it still doesn't make you feel good. On our team if the management was a one we became our own support and motivational system by being there for each other in our job and personal lives. When we changed shifts/managers there would always be a survey that was required to be taken about your manager no matter how they scored nothing was ever done about our lack of motivation problems. We began to stick together give each other our own appreciation for good deeds or hard work, figuring out what each others interests within our workplace. We had specific people on our team who would take supervisor calls, because they were interested

A form of motivation is intrinsic. Intrinsic is ones contentment and feelings of accomplishment and extrinsic a persons’ aspiration to pass up or accomplish certain kind of outcome for ones actions.
