Rio is famous for the extremely large statue that towers over the city called Christ the Redeemer, along with beaches, Sugar Loaf Mountain, Carnival, Corcovado, Santa Teresa & Selarón Steps, Tijuca Forest, and much more. I went to Rio for carnival in March 2014. I was surrounded by the beautiful colors, people singing, and dancing. Lots of exotic animals, even the butterflies were bursting with colors.
