The purpose and functions of an operating system
In definition the operating systems provides an interface between the hardware of the computer and the user. So without the operating system you wouldn’t have GIU and it would take you days for the simplest task. The operating system functions like a boss at work place. Its job is to make sure all the applications get the right resources. Similar to a boss making sure the employees have the right resources. It also makes sure the capacity of the system is running good for all users and applications. Like in a work place the boss makes sure production is at the right pace for employees and employers. The operating system also provides a consistent application interface. This allows a software developer to write on one computer and be confident it will run on different computer of the same type.
The three most used operating systems are Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. The operating systems have the same function on all computers. Which is allows the user to have an interface but there are differences between them and here are five of them. The first is that Microsoft Windows and Apples Mac OS X operating codes are protected so you have to buy specific software for them. Linux is a free operating system and anybody can change the code or write software for Linux freely. The second difference is the security of the operating system. Windows has a lot of users and programs so hackers tend to focus more on windows operating systems and create more viruses.

This provokes the audiences Logos due to the fact that they know Hester is a good person, but the church will not let that be known or accepted, which leads to the public not accepting her openly. In The Crucible Mr.Miller used Logos by telling the audience that the whole witch problem was fake, but the church still decided to execute the people, due to a false belief. This was highly emphasize when it was said that “Andover have thrown out the court, they say, and will have no part of witchcraft...I fear there will be riot here[also](127)” The audience is faced with the truth of the trials, but the author made the judges stubborn against the facts; letting the audience know that the judges are wrong, which means the religion that the trial is based upon is also wrong, due to the execution of the respectable people in town. If the people of the town would all pitch in their thoughts on the matter instead of leaving it all up to a few men would John, Rebecca...
