MR Team : Process

1. Half an hour before the company representatives’ scheduled arrival, MR1 calls them up and finds out the following:

• Expected time of arrival

• Room requirements

• Process to be followed

2. MR1 informs MR3 the room requirements. MR3 relays the room requirements to the Reception Desk (Nalanda). The Reception Desk (RD) tells MR3 the venue to be used. MR3 goes to the venue and confirms that everything is in order.

3. MR1 and MR2 receive the company. MR2 registers the company on the RD. MR2 also takes the Welcome Kit from the RD.

4. If shortlist is available in the welcome kit:

• Shortlist will be available with MRs and Venue Coordinator as well.

• MR3 informs Venue Coordinator the number of students needed / the students needed for the interview.

• The Venue Coordinator (VC) will tell MR3 the students in the shortlist who have been signed out. VC will also inform the MR3 the names of students who are called for the process.

5. If shortlist is not available in the welcome kit:

• The shortlist is given to MR1 by the company. MR1 gives MR3 the shortlist. MR3 takes the shortlist to the Control Desk (CD – in the tent beside the Gym). He takes back n+5 copies of the shortlist, where n is the no. of panels.

• 2 copies are given at the Infra Desk (Nalanda Syndicate Room), and the CVs are collected from there.

• 1 copy is given to the VC, 1 to MR1, 1 to MR2, and n copies to the company.

6. In case a student receives an offer, MR3 informs VC. MR3 then escorts the student, along with the signed offer form, to the CD, where the student is Signed Out of the process.

7. In case a company opens a new profile, MR3 informs the VC. MR1 and MR2 ask for 30-40 minutes for all applications to be collated. Post 30 minutes, MR3 goes to the CD, and collects n+5 copies of the list of applicants.

• 2 copies are given at the Infra Desk (Nalanda Syndicate Room), and the CVs are collected from there.

• 1 copy is given to the VC, 1 to MR1, 1 to MR2, and n copies to the company.

8. For all shortlists given by the company – GD / PI / Extended – the MR team has to follow step 5.

General Guidelines

1. Explain the policy contents to the company before the process begins. The three main things to be highlighted are:

• List offer

• Spot offer

• The 20 minutes and maximum 8 persons / GD rule Post 18 minutes in every GD, politely knock, interrupt, and request them to conclude.
2. Be very well-read about the company, and about MDI, especially the faculty part. This will help a lot while stalling.

3. In case students are not coming, push the VC. Keep nagging them. In case students fail to turn up even then, call the JPC member at the venue. At no time is any MR supposed to go to the mess/any other venue to fetch students.

4. In case of any problem/doubt, call the JPC member at the venue.

5. In case you get any hint that a company representative may be interested in meeting a faculty member, inform the JPC member at the venue.

When you make an appointment that spot has been reserved for you. That means if you have been given the last slot someone else is going to have to wait for another one to open up. This could be one day or one month. And because you missed it someone else is still going to have to wait when they could have had that spot and been there. If you are going to miss the appointment or cannot make it due to mission they do allow us to cancel the appointment with in twenty four hours. The Army allows us to make appointments for whatever we need. Be it for a medical appointment, house goods, CIF, Smoking Sensation or whatever we need these recourses are available to us.
