My Favorite Brand - Nike.
Nike does not just stick to shoes but they produce everything from socks to sunglasses and hats. Today they still are huge into the shoe industry but Nike also makes jerseys, shorts, base layers etc. Nikes products never stop involving. As a person who wears a lot of Nike gear, my favorite thing about the brand is that they always find a way to make the products better. Take their basketball shoe line for example. When Nike made their first pair of basketball shoes they probably had no idea what they were doing. Today Nike has one of the best lines of basketball shoes out there with the Air Jordan line. These shoes are always light weight and they feature great support and breathable leather which are both needed in a good basketball shoe. Also Nike makes their products stand out with their brilliant use of colors and unique designs.
In 2009 Nike introduced the Nike+ products and teamed up with Apple. This allows runners to sink their shoes with their IPods and it will allow them to see how far they have run, how many calories they have burned and also keeps time for them. Nike has also done this with their basketball shoes which allow players to link up through their IPods again. However this new design helps measure a player's vertical, quickness, and other aspects of their game. Nikes products keep improving with the time and there is no end in sight to what Nike can do with their products.
Nike has many competitors in their industry. These companies include but are not limited to Puma, Underarmor and Addidas. These competitors drive Nike to strive for new innovations every day. Nike competes with Addidas in the basketball market. Nike owns over 80% of U.S. basketball market to as where Addidas owns only about 14%. Nike and Underarmor are major competitors in the work out clothing industry but Nike has the overall competitive

Favorite Brand

...Favorite Brand Danny Dao MKT/421 August 11, 2014 Theodore Framan Favorite Brand For the past 15 years, I have been a loyalty costumer of Nike shoe. Reason of choice was easy to talk about Nike’s shoe was the design of the shoe, the comfortable of wearing it, and the offering Nike has to offer was great. I’m not trying to say the design of Adidas or Reebok or any other brands of shoe line were bad, I just think Nike have an edge over them. When is come to design, Nike did an outstanding job providing their customers the option to customized their own shoe, “They were one of the pioneering companies that began the whole custom-shoe craze, and it makes sense that their NikeID site is so awesome. Once you get there, choose between a large numbers of athletic shoes to customize.  There are tons of details you can customize including:  colors, materials, text, width, and more.” ("Design Your Own Shoes", 2013). I had entered the site NikeID a few times and created two pairs of Nike with my own design, and both pairs of shoe turn out how I wanted at the first place. I believed with this method of marketing Nike introduced to the customers was superior, its allowing people to create or build the pairs of shoe of how they wanted and also the price was the same with the original pair. After you had a favorite pair of shoe, you definitely want test drive on it. Nike’s shoe known for its best comfortable and help protect feet to the fullest. According to NIKE, Inc.  (2014)...

Favorite Brand

...Favorite Brand Michelle Gale MKT/421 June 2, 2014 Glenna Twing Every person has a favorite something; this could be shoes, stores, or food to name a few. This paper will detail one of my favorites, Skecher’s Shoes. There are many competitors that offer similar products, and the paper will show a few of them. Details as to why they are my choice will also be included. We will also look at how this company provides customer service to promote customer loyalty to a variety of age groups. My intent is to get others to try these shoes if they have not. Favorite Brand and Why Shoes are important to most people. Many have a favorite brand at they like to wear. I choose Skecher’s Memory Foam as my favorite brand. Skecher’s Memory Foam are my favorite for a few reasons the biggest reason is they are comfortable. With my current job I am on my feet a lot, and comfortable shoes are necessary. To have a pair of shoes that do not provide comfort could make my feet hurt after a period of wearing them. I have also found that an uncomfortable pair of shoes causes other problems such as an ache in my back. Having this happen has and would make the day worse. Pricing is another reason that these shoes are my favorite. The pair that I most currently purchased was $64.99; this is not a bad price. Considering that I wear these shoes at least five days a week, and at least eight hours a day,...

Term Paper

...Nike Abdullah Durani MKT/421 8/13/14 Gwendolyn Mclain Nike Just do it. That is the timeless slogan of one of the world’s most popular brands, Nike. Just about anywhere you go, you can be certain that you will see that famous swoosh logo. Nike is the brand of choice for people of all ages worldwide due largely to the fact that is the most popular and recognizable brand in the sportswear and footwear world. Passion for Nike I have been a huge basketball fan my whole entire life. My earliest memories of watching basketball on TV include the greatest to ever play the game, Michael Jordan. Nike signed Michael Jordan to a basketball sneaker contract in 1984 which turned out to benefit both parties more than they could ever imagine, “The original five-year deal was worth $500,000 annually, plus royalties. The terms of Jordan’s current deal with Nike are a closely guarded secret, but royalties now generate more than $60 million annually for MJ, according to sources. Nearly 30 years later, the brand is still a marketing juggernaut. It controlled 58% of the U.S. basketball shoe market in 2012” (Badenhausen, 2013). To this day, I still have my collection of Jordan sneakers that I have compiled during the past ten years of my life. Another reason I am passionate about the brand is because 90% of my athletic wear is Nike. Nike makes a quality product that is comfortable, fashionable, and relatively...

I will be comparing three different types of Nike mercurial cleats, Nike mercurial vapor 9 (IX), Nike mercurial vapor 10 (X), and Nike mercurial superfly. I will be basing my evaluation on the price of the cleat, if it is a low top or high top cleat, light weight or heavy weight, and style of the spikes. ...Personal Branding Brand Paper Edward Smith MKT/421 March 29, 15 Michael Medoro Personal Branding Plan Paper My career immediately after graduating High School in 2003 started with my enlistment into the United States Army. Unfortunately in 2010 I sustained combat related injuries that forced me into early retirement after 7 years of actively serving. Although I had other career interest after graduating High School, once I was retired out of the Army using the skills and training I gained while servings left very few windows open for me to further my career as an civilian because of my injuries and restrictions that were placed on me. However, I have continued to have an interest in law enforcement, technology, and fashion which has allowed me to still have interest in working for particular companies/agencies in each field. Companies I Would Like To Work For I grew up in a law enforcement family which sparked my interest of being a police officer one day, but I never wanted to settle with just being a basic officer, my interest was mainly towards joining the higher ranks of law enforcement like The US Marshals Services (USM). According to Jacobs (2014), “established in 1789 by George Washington, the US Marshals is the oldest law enforcement agency in the country”. (para. 1). My interest in joining the marshals is because although all law enforcement agencies essentially are tasked with going after criminals and protecting citizens, the USM are assigned with going after some...

In every city, there are multiple fashion brands with different styles and ranges of apparel and accessories. Every season, new styles and designs are created which influence society. It appears as if more types of clothing exist than the actual number of people. With so many different alternatives of fashion, the fashion industry is trying to please too many customers with variety. There are currently various styles to choose from, and the clothes people wear categorize or label them long before they realize it. The three fashion brands that will be analyzed extensively are Chanel, Nike, and Hot Topic. These brands have apparel but are completely different in their target audience. Chanel is a prestigious high-fashion brand; Nike is a popular athletic line; Hot Topic is musically and artistically edgier with a smaller target audience between the three. With these apparel brands, a person wearing each would be labeled or even stereotyped. One wearing a Chanel’s 2012 Spring/Summer ready-to-wear designer outfit with a white jacket, lambskin dress with pearls, and a glass pearl belt would be labeled as rich, successful, and intelligent. Another wearing Nike running apparel consisting of a shirt, shorts, and footwear is someone athletic and always on the go. ...which showed why I didn’t have very many product purchases. There are many products I am brand loyal to but there were a few that I tried to change since they were on sale or I just wanted to try something new. I also found that I chose more products that weren’t name brand. I think that I chose these because I was on a budget and I knew how much I wanted to spend when I was at the store. I found that the name brand products were always at least two to three dollars more than brands that weren’t name brand. I also found that some of the brands that aren’t name brand taste a lot better and you usually get more than you pay for out of the non name brand products. One of the products that I am really happy I tried was a new Keurig K-Cup coffee brand called “Cameron’s”. The box of 12 was very inexpensive only costing $4 compared to the Folgers Gourmet that I usually buy that costs around $8 with tax. So, I spent half and I feel I got better quality. I also really wanted to try this particular product because it was different than all of the other K-Cups. The K-Cup doesn’t filter through plastic like other K-Cups do; it has a coffee filter instead so that you get more of the coffee flavor rather than the plastic one that sometimes tastes watery. Another product that I chose over a product I usually buy that is name brand and found I really liked were pita chips. The name brand pita chips from Wal-Mart are usually about $4 a bag and there...
