...My Ideal Classroom within my ideal school A Classroom is a place where individuals gather for the purpose of learning and studying. The classroom may be of a primary school, an elementary school, a college or a university - but the purpose remains the same. In order to get the most of the learning process, there are certain standards that a classroom should meet. A classroom should be in a way where students can comfortably spend their time, getting the most of their study and where teachers can be at comfort too, to provide the sublime education. Without proper configuration and set-up, an ideal classroom cannot be made. The environment, room plan, decoration, and utilization of a classroom have a huge impact on how a child learns and behaves.  This semester-long project will help you  learn techniques for setting up your own classroom in a way that will enhance student learning.  You will research and write about an 'ideal' early childhood classroom.  You will take a virtual field trip via the Internet to critique online classrooms.  You will then design your own "Ideal Classroom" and present it to the ECD163 class. My first requirement will be parents that support me in my task of educating their children in the way I was trained to do. Myself and parents need a clear picture of the sort of person we would like a young person to become. Next I want a class full of students that enjoy learning. I want students that feel comfortable to voice their opinions about any...

Ideal School

...If I were allowed to the opportunity to design my own school, and resources were not a question, there are many different aspects I would implement into said school. First and foremost, I would make sure school was available and mandatory to all children, very much like it is today. Education is a critical part of developing as an individual; therefore I would make sure each child has the means to attend school. I would also address the issue of teachers. I feel as if this is one of the most difficult aspects of school to monitor, due to the resources available. Many teachers today are not well equipped and lack the desire and passion to efficiently teach. If I could create my ideal school, I would accept only teachers with sufficient knowledge and a joy for teaching. This would create classrooms with a positive experience and better instruction, rather than ones filled with frustration. The arts would be a prominent feature of my ideal school as well. Often these days, arts programs are being drastically cut, which in turn is sapping the creativity from our students. Because I realize the importance of the arts in schools, I would require that each student enroll in at least one fine arts course. The most important aspect of my ideal school would be Special Education. I would make sure that all types of special education were available. Recently I have learned about the many different kinds of disabilities that children are facing, as well as the vast array of options...

Early Childhood Education

... Children need to be received in a warm inviting classroom in which the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development are a priority and address on a daily basis. Meeting the children’s needs of feeling safe and nurtured at school will facilitate learning to take place. Before students entered the classrooms to be filled with factual knowledge under scripted lessons that were to accommodate all learners. Educating children these days is more like an art that requires the use of creativity and knowledge to consider the student’s needs to prepare the lessons, incorporate personal philosophies, and implement the proper pedagogic strategies to develop children’s academic potential. Being an early childhood teacher is a privilege that requires to be assumed with responsibility as early childhood teachers spend the majority of the day teaching children who’s both parents work to cover the family needs. Children at the Pre K to K start school between the ages of 3-5 depending on the program and school children are attending. For my final paper, I will identify and discuss the theories and/or philosophies that demonstrate how I envision the appropriate classroom to be for the selected age group. I will also provide an overview of the concepts I will teach in each academic area, and share some of the strategies and activities that will be implemented in the classroom which will be a reflection of the theories that comprise my philosophy of education. Lastly will describe how...

Ideal School Essay, Sociology

...Assess Features of an Ideal School (50 marks) In my opinion, the purpose of education is too teach students specific skills to students that would give them specific skills to help them in the future and continue to benefit them in later life. Education should be beneficial to the individual and that should be seen as most important, then this should automatically lead to it benefiting society completely. If every individual was being separately catered to in education where they are excelling well then this would create a problem free system. I think Marxists view schools as a control mechanism that is only beneficial to the capitalists. Whereas, functionalists view it as a teaching mechanism which ensure a consensus within society. Feminists view education and the education system as patriarchal and only really beneficial for men. My ideal school may not be appropriate for all individuals as not everyone is not guaranteed success in later life by being taught the skills we teach. I think the purpose of schools and education in general is to prepare a student for the next stage in their life. Education should be there to help you become the best possible person in the future. You should be prepared for important things in the future such as voting, money handling, bill paying, money managed meant and also things like how to live in a recession and how to deal with the stress of living in a recession etc. I think that this would ensure an ideal school as these are the skills...

Educational Philosophy

...My Educational Philosophy: A Reflective Comparison Introduction Throughout my five interviews, I noticed an important theme, the students. Every one of my interviewees, regardless of years of experience, has made strides to create and maintain positive relationships with his/her students. Not only do these relationships create trust and honesty in the classroom but they increase class participation and foster independence and creativity. It should be the goal of any educator to create an environment centered on the students and their success, in and out of the classroom. Not only does my educational philosophy encompass these views but so do the philosophies of my five interviewees. Interviews and Reflection I feel privileged and honored to have had the chance to contact a few teachers that have impacted me in a very positive way. Throughout my interviews I was able to speak with an Intervention Specialist who has been teaching moderate to severe developmental disabilities for four years. Her enthusiasm and positive energy carries over into her classroom and makes being in her room an enjoyable experience. My second interview was with a family member of mine who has been teaching high school math for six years. After reading his responses, I feel proud to know him. Not only is he uplifting and positive but he is honest and caring. The students are his first priority. My third and fourth interviews were conducted with two history teachers from my high school. One, I did...
