Now onto my wants, goals, and ambitions, I think they are pretty achievable and not too ridiculous. What I am currently striving for is to be accepted into a college that has a great pre-med and technology programs so that I can complete my double major in a medical science field and in computer programming. The reason I am going for these fields is because for the longest time, probably for as long as I can remember I have always had this amazing drive to help people anyway I can, even when I was a child when I saw someone that was hurt I was always there asking if I could help in anyway, and computers and technology within the last five years or so sense eighth grade when I had my first computer class I have found that I have a talent for working on, creating, or operating computers and most technology in general, it is very easy and I find it really fun, and truthfully it is extremely fun! Now there is a reason why I set it up this way, we have been over the wants, and the goals, now my ambitions which derive from my goals and wants. The end result of all of this, my ambitions, are to end up with a successful job in either of fields that I plan to major in, let god take me to where I need to be, my “calling” so to say and to help as many people as I can either through the power of medicine or through technological advances that may save someone’s life, and of coarse buy a home and start a family but that’s the overall basic thing that nearly everyone wants.

We have come to the most important part of who I am, and why I have these goals and such, my past, and unlike a lot of other students, I have not had an average life such as others may have had. Lets start all the way at my beginning and go through and sum everything up from there, I was born in Clackamas Oregon and lived there till I was about one and a half when my mother and father had a falling out and

My "Two Worlds"

...thing to do, especially when I have to share it with my classmates. I can say that I have had an amazing childhood growing up in Nimes France and moving to the States. By moving to the States I have had the privilege to see how the other half of the world lives, literally. I have learned that the two “worlds” aren’t that different, except for the language of course, but it has taught me how to look past the differences in people. Just by looking at me you have your own idea of who I am, I have blue eyes, brown hair, and wear glasses. But that’s all you can really “see” about me. There are a few things you can’t tell by just looking at me, like that I was born on a Naval Ship in the Atlantic Ocean and lived in Nimes France till I was four. Or that I have two younger twin brothers, an older sister, I just turned nineteen this past Saturday, and I love the countryside. I love to draw which is why I am looking for a major in the Architectural field. But really I am just like any other students here were all trying to find where we belong in this world. There are A couple events and people that have influenced and in away shape who I am today. One major influencer in my life is my parents, because of them I have become in mind a fairly well rounded student and person. With their help and the help from friends and some teachers, they have all prepared me for the “real world” and helped me become an outgoing independent person. My dad has always taught me to work hard for what I want...

My World

...During my childhood years I had a few good friends. My very first best friend was a girl named Kelly that I went to middle school and graduated high school with. Kelly and I did everything together. Whenever you saw her you saw me. Even our very first cars were the same. We were literally two peas in a pot. I considered Kelly as my sister and someone that I could trust, but as we got older I started to see a change in our relationship. That’s when I learned that my best friend really wasn't my best friend after all. In the year of 2010 I was preparing for one of the biggest days of my life. My wedding day! I had one matron of honor, a maid of honor and three bridesmaids. My best friend Kelly was one of my bridesmaids and I could tell that she was thrilled to be part of my big day. She helped me shop and got things prepared when it came to my wedding. When my best friend found out I was getting married, she seemed happy for me. Then everything was turned upside down when her birthday came which is in April. My best friend had made plans for her birthday weekend, and it consisted of dinner with her family and friends and a walk on Beale Street here in Memphis Tn. I told her in advance that I would do dinner with her, but I wasn't really in to walking around on Beale Street due to my engagement. She told me that she understood and that her birthday weekend meant as much to her as my wedding did to me. I asked myself how she could even compare the two. I didn't...

The Life of Justin Bieber

...The Life of Justin Bieber “Baby, baby, baby, oh, I thought you’d always be mine.” Anybody could sing these lyrics, but no one could ever do it as well as Justin Bieber. Every time I hear a Justin Bieber song on the radio, I find myself singing along with a smile on my face. Although he is worshiped for his good looks and amazing voice, Justin has much more to offer his fans. Justin Bieber is my hero because he is a successful pop star and an inspiring person. He has had the split second where his reputation became bad, and people had brought him down, but now he’s back at the top. Yes, Justin Bieber may be one of the most popular pop singers, but he tries to be a normal kid, works hard, and shares his wealth with people in need, and still makes time with his family. These are just some of the reasons why the pop star Justin Bieber is my hero.             The first thing that impresses me about Justin Bieber is that although he is extremely famous, under all that fame there is still a real person who cares deeply about his friends and family. Even though Justin’s two best friends and most of his family live in Canada, he tries to see them as often as he can. He tries to at least take off one day a week to just hang out with friends and family and play basketball and video games. Also, even though Justin is a huge star, he still lives under his mothers rules. Many may think he gets to do whatever he wants whenever he wants; however, Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette treats...

...The Stump to My World by E. Litchfield One nice summer day I was looking for something to do. I was your average sandy brown haired 8 year old and I was bored. I walked around the house head hanging low just wishing for some excitement to happen. But nothing was happening. So then I made my way to the kitchen where I could smell something yummy cooking. I love it when my mom makes yummies. Maybe I could help her by tasting whatever she is making. Upon my arrival and growing excitement to help her by tasting what she was making, I was refused. She promptly told me they were for later after dinner. Dinner now seemed very far away. So now I am hungry and bored. I then made my way to the living room where my dad was reading some sort of magazine. I asked him what he was reading and if he could tell me about it. He told me it was important instructions for gardening and could not be disturbed right now. He then suggested I go check on my mom’s cooking or go outside and find something to do. Now I am back to being bored and hungry and headed back in to the kitchen. When I got to the kitchen my mom asked why I had returned. I told her dad sent me to check on what she was cooking. She told me nice try, why don’t you go outside and find something to do. So she brushed the hair out of my eyes and sent me on my way. So I finally went out our back door to find something to do. In answering these questions, we form these ideas of what we believe to be the ... quality of life or just reality/realities in general. Then, we begin to further explore those ideas, asking more questions, and working to find clarification, to find knowledge. As we gather more of that knowledge, we shape our own beliefs and state of mind, finding out more of who we are as individuals. Our soul, our very being, is a reflection of that knowledge. It shows our uniqueness, our individuality, because no one else reacts in exactly the same way we do. We may share some similarities, but, overall, we are out own person. My World View

...defend robustly your own worldview. The three components that make up my personal worldview are God, ethics, and spiritual knowledge - because they play a vital role in all my thoughts, experiences, and life decisions. Putting God first in my life is at times quite difficult. For a Christian, it may be the most difficult thing to do. As an indication of faith it’s probably designed to be difficult. God has immense knowledge to communicate to each one of us, but He must always be put first in our lives if we are to obtain the knowledge. Since I’ve learned to view my life from God's endless perception it has become easier to comprehend what will last eternally and what will be demolished. My faith in a loving and forgiving God plays an imperative part in my day to day life. Throughout my life, being a Christian and living out my faith has been difficult and demanding. The people of this world do not always respect the ones who take a stand and do the right thing. The normal thing to do is to portray the ways of the world. The world encourages you to do what feels right and look out for one’s own self. In law enforcement there are always times when I will have to choose between my code of ethics and the police subculture ways of conducting ethical dilemmas or other given situations. The benefit of being a Christian police officer is that even when I don’t have a partner, the Holy Spirit never leaves my side. Everyday ethical dilemmas can test any individual in every way imaginable...

Step Into My World

...James Michael Professor V. Reyes English 101 26 January 2011 Step Into My World An old Indian proverb says, “Never judge a person until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.” It explains that a person does not know how another is living, until they actually live the same lifestyle. In the story, “Serving in Florida” by Barbara Ehrenreich, she is a journalist that prepares herself to write about the working-class life. She decides to step into the shoes of the working class and embody their way of life. She accomplishes this by working typical jobs such as waitressing and housecleaning and attempting to survive with the meager wages the jobs paid. She does this experiment to shed light and bring attention on how people in America are able live on minimum wage. Throughout her narrative, she uses vivid and specific details to evoke an emotional response and connects with the reader on a personal level. She wants to show the world how working-class people are living an unfortunate life. After her reading, I believe working-class employees are entitled to more financial attention. Working-class people can be defined as people who usually work either one job, or perhaps two jobs to maintain their livelihood. The working class usually lives pay check to paycheck. Majority of the time they are not going to school, but working full time. Some blue-collar jobs include waitressing, housecleaning, and retail sales. Some duties include washing dishes or serving food to customers...

The Imits of My Language Are the Limits of My World

...Ludwig Wittgenstein said "The limits of my language are the limits of my world." What are the limits of language and our world? The limits of our language are our knowledge, skills and abilities to use them, and our world - this is our vision, we know how to get along with others. Through language we share information about the world around us. If you do not master the language fully, these limits will prevent us from fully share their views on our environment. Then I will give only partial information, such as allowing our knowledge. Others around us will take the part for the whole and complete, and will conclude that they have betrayed everything we want and that the limits of our world. Boundaries of our world are not only our knowledge of a language, but for different languages. On our planet there are very different to each other languages and cultures. As we meet someone with whom we have a common language, then we can not understand it, nor did he understand us. But you are blind and deaf people, some of whom can not learn spoken language, does this mean that they will never be able to know the world and to convey their opinions? The answer is no, because languages are spoken only: braille letters enable the blind to explore the world, a zhestomimikata helps the deaf to communicate with others. Despite what factors determine the limits of our language, they limit our world from the perspective of others - for them that our world is part of the feeling that we can give...

My World View Christianity

...My World View Christianity 305 Inst. Dr. Harold Ostrander Our assignment is to state our world view and defend it. It is much easier for me to defend this on paper than it would in person. I absolutely hate discussing religion (with someone of another faith, or without faith) and politics. Both normally lead to frustrated feelings from both sides because one couldn’t convince the other to his view. Of course throughout class it is obvious I have a Christian world view, and it is difficult to comprehend those around me (in my culture) may not have the same world view. I believe the only way to Heaven is to be saved by professing Jesus as our Savior, and asking for forgiveness of our sins. We are spiritually born again into a new life with God and His teachings as our guide, and also for our reason to live. God renews our faith, cleanses us of our wickedness, and refreshes our soul. Then we are also baptized, a symbolic way of washing away our sins and through the grace and mercy of Jesus our slate is wiped clean. One aspect of Christianity that non-Christians can’t seem to understand is that clean slate may get a little soiled now and again. But when you have faith that Jesus has saved you and will forgive you, there’s a real comfort that is called hope. We aren’t perfect and we know it. If we had to be perfect I suspect Jesus would be lonely in Heaven! We would also have no hope of eternal life with him, and I can’t think of anything else that could be...
