As I spoke to several clients this is some of their feedback. “Other nails solons that I’ve been at have started doing my nails and because they don’t want to lose clients they have stopped in the middle of my service to go attend another customer and get started on them, but here at KIMs Kevin and Diana have always finished their work and done a great job.” Nina Williams from Houston, TX. “ Even on the weekends, the busiest days of the week KIM takes their time on me and makes me feel right at home.” Vanessa Garcia Cypress, TX. Nail Technician Research Paper

...Research Paper Rough Draft: How to become a Neat Nail Technician Looking around the room, I see an array of beautiful shades to choose from. Pastels with deep dark colors of nail polishes are sitting on organized shelves to be chosen. Sometimes a salon will have a strong stench of chemicals, mixed with the sound of nail buffing drills, and chatter too. However, getting a manicure and pedicure is still a relaxing retreat that many women, even men, look forward to. When I was a just a little girl, I became exposed to the art of nail design and a vast selection of polishes throughout the years of my mother’s influence. Painting nails, playing with false nails, and the experience in taking trips to the nail salon with my mother have become hobbies of mine ever since then. Thereafter, I realize that in order to become a professional nail technician, it will take hours of practice and training to obtain your license, and testing your skills in your new workplace. This topic is something interesting that I liked learning about, and I thought it would be great to be able to save money by doing own nails. “As a nail technician or manicurist, you will trim and polish clients' nails, repair broken nails, and apply nail extensions. Additionally, you will assess the...

...business research process is necessary to help managers in making business decisions (Cooper & Schindler, 2011). This term paper will summarize the definition of the business research process by my personal experience in the workplace. The beauty salon industry had a lot of the business research process involved if I wanted it to become a successful salon. One of the many important items that I had to consider as a potential business owner was the location of my salon. The location I would choose for my salon is directly related to its success. If my salon is in a quiet, nice and rural area, it may create a feeling of relaxation for my clients. However, there is going to be some disadvantages. For instance I may be hard to find, and to market my salon may be very difficult. A very popular place for hair salons are in shopping centers that have many other stores or businesses. If I decide to open in an area like this, I would need to get a spot next to a business that will help my salon, for example, a nail shop would be beneficial. So I started doing tons of research. I even went to other salons and asked questions on how they became successful. Doing this helped me add to my success. I collected a lot of data and used it to help my salon bloom. Once I had my building, I had to create a nice, clean and comfortable environment for my clients and salon. I want my clients to come in with a desire to feel relaxed and stressed free, so I needed to make sure my salon provided...

Fashion Show

...“Fashion Show” A fashion show is an event put on by a fashion designer to showcase his or her upcoming line of clothing during Fashion Week. Fashion shows debut every season, particularly the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter seasons. This is where the latest fashion trends are made. In a typical fashion show, models walk the catwalk dressed in the clothing created by the designer. Occasionally, fashion shows take the form of installations, where the models are static, standing or sitting in a constructed environment. The order in which each model walks out wearing a specific outfit is usually planned in accordance to the statement that the designer wants to make about his or her collection. It is then up to the audience to not only try to understand what the designer is trying to say by the way the collection is being presented, but to also visually deconstruct each outfit and try to appreciate the detail and craftsmanship of every single piece. A wide range of contemporary designers tend to produce their shows as theatrical productions with elaborate sets and added elements such as live music or a variety of technological components like holograms, for example. Types of Fashion Shows 1. Ready-to-Wear Ready-to-wear shows feature more practical, down-to-earth looks that the mainstream population might want to buy. Many middle-class name brand retailers draw inspiration from the ready-to-wear looks of high-end designers, including Gucci, Prada...
