In this essay I will be talking about the important key elements of marketing strategy which is designed to aim the over 50s. I will also be talking about in details about the market opportunities of Nestle, product strategy in which Nestle can be looking to apply.

Market Opportunities:

market opportunities for nestle is really important and is also one of the distinguished company which is operating in the food industry. However they have been building up an amazing reputation by looking to focus and create products which are already in progress so they can keep their customers happy and keeping up with the profits. Looking through it there are improvements that can be made but in the good margins as for the fourth consecutive quarter in a row nestle haven’t made any organic growth number and it has been below the average sell, as the revenue increased just under 4% for the quarter and the figure can be a disappointment but there are ways on how nestle can have opportunities to benefit from, e.g. they can be identifying the market potential for the over 50’s market. According to resources this segment is massively rising and shows

• that there is a 45% increase for over 50s since the year of 1951 and that is still to go up by another 36% to 27.2m in the coming years to 2031, this statistics undoubtedly indicates that this segment is living longer and half of the population will be over 50s by 2031 which means there is a massive segment to be targeted and to be more looked into.

• the population factor for the age 55 to 64, the majority are likely to be the most cash rich

On the other hand looking at these statistics should give nestle help and boost confidence for a competitive improvement because it has a higher income compare to other groups which means they are likely to spend their money on expensive things so it will be an advantage for
