I had skipped page 437, and I have read the next pages first because the previous page was less readable. I assumed that they would have a very similar structure but I have lately found that the topic sentence of the second paragraph on the previous page was different from the one on the next page. It reduces the readability of the paragraph on the page 437 because the sentence “Overpopulation leads to … deer and vehicles” doesn't express the main idea of the second paragraph. It may affect the comparison of the effect between two designs because there is a decline of readability, which is not caused by the design of the text.
I didn't know the word, “quilt”. I looked it up and learned that it is a bed cover that is made from pieces of fabric. I searched the imagines of quilt on Google but I found that the typical quilts that were found on Google had the regular patterns. The “quilt” of typefaces in the book looks like a home made quilt or a patched quilt instead of a brand new quilt because the arrangement of that quilt of typefaces remains me of the ragged patches.
I started to think about why no language is read and written horizontally from the bottom to top when the text mentioned that we read from top to bottom because I couldn't find the languages that are read …show more content…
It is an effective way to show the idea, and maintain consistency of the text. I think it is a good way to explain the topic of this chapter because we can see the difference of the designs easily but the comparisons often appears in binary opposition, which may draw a wrong conclusion because typefaces contain more than one property, and there are no standards for the text designs. For instance, the comparison in page 453 is comparing the formal text and informal text, it would be questionable to say that the unjustified text is less formal when it is under a colorful

Network Topology 3 Section 1 3 Conclusion 5 Reference 5 Network Topology Scope or Introduction Unit 3. Assignment 1. Network Topology Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes In this assignment, you will describe the hierarchical star, bus, and ring network topologies. Assignment Requirements Chapter3 covered 3 main network topologies – hierarchical star, bus, and ring. Write a paragraph describing each topology. Discuss the reasons for using each, and any strengths/weaknesses each has. Submission Requirements Submit a 1-2 page Word document; double-spaced; Times New Roman 12 pt font. Cite all sources used. Section 1 In computer networking, topology refers to the layout of connected devices. Think of a topology as a network’s virtual shape or structure. This shape does not necessarily correspond to the actual physical layout of the devices on the network. For example, the computers on a home network may be arranged in a circle in a family room, but it would highly unlikely to find a ring topology there. Hierarchical Star Hierarchical star is also known as an extended star topology. Hierarchical or extended star topology is a star network with an additional networking device connected to the main networking device. Typically, a network...
