Re: NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg: How does he impacted NYC

The Organization: Mayor Office of NYC is a hectic and stressful position which entails the responsibility of a major metropolitan city. Employees: The employees consists of the police, sanitation, transportation, city council, school board, and all other city official that helps run the city are all overworked and underpaid. Major Bloomberg initiating all to these regulation can make these employees life very difficult. Some of these employees are affected by the mayor’s smoking band. Stockholder: The stockholders are the people that voted for Mayor Bloomberg and they are investing in his candidacy with the expectation of a return on their investment with the improvement of Mayor Bloomberg maintaining his integrity and the issues of which he was hired under. External Customer: The people of NYC expect the mayor that is hired into office to have their best interest at hand. The customer wants a mayor that will govern the city and protect the citizen. With the banning of smoking in commercial places brought about a controversy between smokers and non-smokers. Non-smokers and other health issues customers saw it as a sign of relief by living smoke free and not being subjected to second hand smoke. Mayor Bloomberg admission of smoking marijuana in 2001, one could say was an attempt to express the youthful experimentation which brought about the tough drug laws. Mayor Bloomberg issues on stem cells, same sex marriages and abortion are not aligning with the Republican Party. Some health conscious customers are in favor for the ban of trans fat in restaurants. This will allow more customer to eat out and enjoy a meal know that the restaurants have items on the menu that are healthier, this increase revenue for the city as well as the owners. Supply Chain: The retailers are wondering why they cannot display their tobacco products but not the advertisements. This concept could push cigarettes sale to the black market and deprive the retailers the cost of those sales and the city taxes and revenue. The soft drink companies are losing revenue by limiting their soft drink to a maximum of 16 ounces. The inventories of the 18 ounces to the Big Gulp cups are costing merchants. Community: The community has different views of Mayor Bloomberg position. There is lobbyist against the same sex marriage which religion plays a role into this union. On the other hand, for those who have life partners, this is a dream come true. They feel that they have the equal rights as hetero-sex partner. The prochoice people now feel that it is their body and their choice. The community for a drug fee life is for Mayor Bloomberg and his crusade to ride NYC of this cancer that is affecting their way of life. For a greener and cleaner environment, the smoking band was a great way to start for a healthier living. Second hand smoke is a leading cause of so many health issues. The limitation of 16 ounces of soft drink will keep the sugar intake that a body should have down.
