1. What characteristics of an effective work group does the Speed Team appear to have?

I. Common goal of Team
Task for the Speed team have influences all the IBM employees and it do lead IBM breakthrough projects completed in a short time. If you need a wide range of cooperation to complete the task, organization will benefit from their common goals.

II. Teamwork
The Speed Team works like a team instead of group. According to the four Midwest colleges and Iowa State University, 1996, that effective and efficient teamwork can transcend personal achievement.

III. They are willing to share with each other.
The Speed team members share their success stories on how the ways to complete the project fast in the past. They also share information about how they can overcome obstacles against speed. The team are eager to help each members/employees of his or her full potential of development.

IV. Brainstorming
Speed team discuss and come out with some ideas about the quick turnaround time, by studying IBM WedAhead laboratory, to develop the new prototypes. According to Hackman, J. R, 1976, team learning is consisting of transforming conversational department and collective thinking skills, so that people can reliably develop intelligence and talent ability better than the sum of the individual members.

V. Atmosphere of Team
The whole atmosphere of WebAhead employees work is casual. Laboratory is the purpose of the team feel simple and liberation. All interaction, problem solving and decision making activities took place in an atmosphere with supportive group.

VI. Focus of the Goal, and the doing thing
Bill Sweeney, a WebAhead manager said, "we only need to consider the following important things we will encounter." The Speed team are link to the bigger picture and a larger purpose by reviewing the company's vision and mission statements. After,
