It was still dark when I reached the bus station to go to Santa Barbara, and very few people lined up behind me in the station. I was nervous looking around but I was also very excited to begin my first independent adventure to a gorgeous place called Santa Barbara that known for its beautiful mountain landscape and its exquisite beach. After fifteen hours in the bus, I finally reached my destination and settled down in my hotel. My first view of Santa Barbara’s landscape, the place was wrapped around by a long range of mountains that were covered by a thick green layer of grass and trees. Alongside the hill, there were a lot flowers showing off their beautiful petals in the rays of the sunset. Besides keeping evil spirits from entering the homes and fooling bugs, the blue ceiling reminds the owners of the blue skies even on cloudy days. Hypothesis The blue paint used in the painting of porches of the Victorian and Colonial homes contains an ingredient that repels insects, a natural insecticide used in the popular paint color. Prediction If there is an ingredient that naturally repels insects in the blue paint then the results should be obvious. Painting two porches ceilings one with blue paint and another one with white paint should demonstrate that the one with blue paint is bug free during the time of the experiment.
