Equiano and Pontiac took different routes in addressing white audiences in their writings. Olaudah Equiano provided a description of his views concerning the white in a slave auction in the Caribbean. He explains whites as only using the slaves for their own luxury and lust of gain. He mentions that the white audience doesn’t care that the slaves have already been torn away from their countries and their families but now the whites will tear them away from their friends without a care or consideration.
