Personal Narrative-It's Two-Bits

...Soda's in bitterness. Soda nodded excitedly. Darry furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't know what your getting excited about, little buddy, even if we do decide to call a rumble you sure ain't goin'." "You think your gonna win a rumble with just the three of you? Have you lost your mind?" Soda gaped. "I think I'm going to get every other greaser we know and keep you out of it, Soda. If there even is a rumble. Let it go," Darry's tone left no room for argument. Ticked off, Sodapop got up wordlessly and escaped to our room. I wanted to go after Soda, but I figured he needed his space. Suddenly exhausted, I stood up and stretched. "I'm taking a shower and going to bed," I announced. "G'Night, Pone," Darry answered. "Night, Dar." OoOoOoO "I want to go too, Soda," was the first thing I said when I opened Soda and I's shared bedroom door. "Me too. I say we sneak out after they leave," Soda suggested, his voice low so Darry wouldn't overhear, but he sounded less angry than early. "Would it work?" "I think so, Pone. Just take a different route than they do, and jump out and start fightin' right when it starts. Darry wouldn't have any time to see us until it was over. We'll get caught, Pony, but it wouldn't be till after. We'll get to fight," Soda's voice held so much longing that I couldn't argue with him. "Aren't you sick of being left out?" I nodded. "Let's do it." It was time to stop being scared and careful and start taking action. It wasn't going to be Darry and...

Soda: A Narrative Fiction

..."Go to sleep. We'll be here when you wake up." That was all the justification I needed. I couldn't fight off the tiredness anymore, and the fuzzy, comforting darkness took over my body. OoOoOoO The next time I woke up it was nighttime and I was much, much clearer. Darry was asleep in a chair next to the bed, but Soda was awake, stroking my hand. "Soda?" I croaked quietly so I wouldn't wake Darry. "What time is it? Golly, how long have I been out?" "You've been out for two days. It's 1:36 a.m. Christmas morning. Merry Christmas, Pony." It was Christmas? "Oh, Soda," I apologized, guilt flowing through my entire body, "I'm so sorry. You guys have to spend Christmas in the hospital." Darry surprised me by speaking, "it ain't your fault, Ponyboy, don't apologize. I'm just glad your okay." "Me too," Sodapop agreed whole-heartedly. I remained silent for a minute before Darry spoke up. "Do you want to go back to sleep, Ponyboy...

Q Analysis

...224 G. M. WARNOCK AND J. DUCKWVORH 1944 are not used as a source of minerals to sustain the mammary supply during lactation. In other words, an osteoporotic skeleton is not an obligatory consequence of lactation in this species at least. Considerable difficulties exist in the determination of these requirements by the metabolic balance technique, since this method does not indicate when mobilization of minerals from the spongiosa is accompanied by mobilization from the shaft. Further, the balance over a whole lactation is often small in relation to the total quantities of materials analyzed and may be close to the analytical errors of the methods when the diet given is rich in minerals. The present observations may find some application in the determination of certain mineral requirements of lactation. Because the losses of Ca and P are unavoidable, involving the gradual liberation of reserves laid down at an earlier peripd, it has been difficult to estimate the requirements for lactation on the bafsis ofthe negative values obtained by the balance technique. Since the present study shows that, in the rat, it is possible to restrict the withdrawal of bone salt to the spongiosa, leaving the shaft unaffected, it seems reasonable to suggest that lactation requirements could be defined as those intakes which, for a given output of minerals in milk, will restrict the withdrawals to the spongiosa. Thus, using a similar technique, the problem ofthe mineral requirements for lactation...

...Lovers Or Friends “Wake up Eric time to go to school its your first day, don't want you to be late on your first day of school” Eric mom yelled. “Coming mom” said Eric, “Wait one second and let me put on my shirt” Eric added. The bus pulled up in front of the white picket fence house and Eric is still not ready so he grabs his comb, brush, and his book bag and rush onto the bus. Everyone on the bus starred at Eric as he walked up the three black and dirty stairs. “C'mon boy sit down so we can leave to head to school” the rude bus driver said. Eric didn't know who to sit by because he was new to the school and obviously he thinks no one is going to talk to the new kid. He walked down the hallway as these two light skin boys both wearing fitted jeans and an Hollister shirt one was wearing green and the other wearing a bright yellow color and both wearing all white jordans looking like a pack of sour skittles. As he passed them 1 they started laughing hysterically, as Eric looked at them with a little smirk on his face, one of the boys says to Eric “what are you wearing, them bad ahh reebok and them bad ahh cargos, school Boy”! Eric sat down by himself in the seat behind the two boys. They reached atthe huge, white school building. He got of the bus quickly as possible until then the two boys pushed him out of his way so they could walk he walked through.
