Organizational behavior chapter 3 : Microsoft case

Microsoft is one of the most successful IT corportaion in the world. Behind of that success there would be many reasons. but I think the one of the most important element is may be great human resources. Human resources based management delivered such success for Microsoft. In that case, It is very serious problem for MS that the employee's turn over. in other word, employees quitting the job or jumping to competing corporation. By the way, in some survey, MS is a corporation which is highly ranked for 'great place to work'. and their turn over rate is not so high than competitor's. But, then why the important employees left the MS? I think that they maybe getting a lot of money from MS for salary and highly deserved. but That's not all. there can be many reasons for that kind of withdrawal behavior.
They may thought MS is not attractive job. Even though high salary and nice deserve. The people who worked for MS are maybe very intelligence and graduated nice Universities and having wide range of knowledge about the industry and technology. and even they have career worked for MS. So they may be treated well in other competing company than MS. Because of this, they can leave the job more easily. But how about it? If MS had more friendly relations for employees, Did they still want to leave MS? I think not. If the reason is not related the cost, the reason for their turn over is affective aspects. They may be too much stressful or lack of human relationships between each other or employer. in other words MS's organizational structure was not effective for improving their organizational commitment. So they tried to make MS itself more attractive. they offered amenities like other IT company. It is including wide range of incentives by improving working conditions and cultures. and also I think they need more
