In every generation, there is always those who strive to fight for the rights of others. Such people usually pay a hefty price for their bravery and approach to life. More often than not, those who sacrifice their lives for the better good of the society usually face the brunt of the opposing parties. History is rife with instances where brave men and women have faced rather unfortunate or even gruesome deaths. Still, in spite of the risk for early demise or severe suffering, people still are able to fight for what they believe.
Devoid of such people, the society would not have been characterized with the level of development that is present today. It is because past generations fought for the rights of the people that the contemporary society has been able to enjoy some basic rights. One of the people who sacrificed a lot for the betterment of the society is Otilio Montano. He sacrificed his life for the greater good of the Mexican people. Together with others with similar mindset, he was able to bring change in Mexico. The impact of his contribution to society is attested by the actuality that decades after his demise, he is still highly valued in Mexican history. Otilio Montano died at a tender young age of 30 years old. Despite his limited time on earth, he was able to have a profound impact on the society and his people specifically. The actuality that he chose to pursue a career as a teacher is a sign of his will to give back to the society. teaching is a demanding career where one seeks to impart knowledge to his/her students. he taught in three regions, which are Ayala, Tepalcingo and Jonacatepec, but not in this particular order. It was during his years as a teacher that he became entangled in the politics of the region. It can be hypothesized that his years as a teacher had the impact of creating a potent reputation among the people. In positioning himself as an intellectual, he was able to develop his overall position in the society. Many a leaders have their foundation developed in the teaching field. Montano is not an exception to this tendency of teachers becoming enthralled in the world of politics. When Otilio was introduced to the world of politics and specifically the Zapata and subsequently the Mexican revolution, he decided to become a soldier and fight with other men in the revolution. During his time in the revolution, he was able to have a profound impact on its course. Together with his friend and mentee Emiliano Zapata, they were able to steer, to some degree, the course and subsequent success of the Mexican revolution. To this end, it is clear that the Otilio was a remarkable individual. It is the intent of this paper to expound on this character. Different aspects of his life will be given focus. First, his early life will be expounded upon. The subsequent section will then focus on the Mexican revolution and Montano’s role in the revolution. The third section will give a brief but focused analysis on the relationship between Emiliano Zapata and Montano. The fourth section will then give focus on his political career and then his military career. Focus on both of these themes has been deemed necessary because of the highly interconnected nature of both themes. The adopted understanding is such that devoid of one theme, the other theme could not have been as potent. As such, given this high degree of dependability, it is essential to give dual focus on these themes. Through his action and personality traits, Otilio Montano was able to have profound impact on the Mexican revolution.

Analysis On the thirteen of December, 1877,Otilio Montano was brought into this world to Dona and Stephen Montano Sanchez. The family in which he was brought up was of humble origins. The first school in which he taught was Tepalcingo. His career then took him to Jonacatepec. He was priviledged to become the director at one of the institutions in which he taught, Villa de Ayala. It was during his promotion to the Yautepec that he began to experience a shift in the direction of life. Previously, he may have assumed that the course of his life was pegged primarily on the education sector. however, when he was promoted to another learning institution, he came into contact with certain members of the Zapatista movement. It just so happened that the individual that with whom he came into contact has some deep connections with Emilio Zapatista. One of the last schools in which he taught was Yautepec. While working in this institution, he was able to come into contact with a member of the Zapatista, Amador Salazar, who was in turn a close associated of Emilio Zapata. It was soon after the encounter with Salazar that the precipitates of Montano’s political side became evident. The Comparison of the Two Movies of Jose Rizal

...Comparison of the two movies: Jose Rizal and Rizal sa Dapitan Jose Rizal is a three-hour epic on the life and struggles of poet and patriot Jose Rizal, the national hero and martyr of the Philippines, played by Cesar Montano. Directed by Marilou Diaz-Abaya, this is GMA Films’ entry to the 1998 Metro Manila Film Festival. It is considered as one of the biggest budgeted films in the Philippine movie history with a record of P80-million. This film was dubbed as the most spectacular and “controversial” Philippine film epic because of its record-breaking 80-million budget. The film won several prestigious awards and has also premiered at several well-known film festivals around the world including the Berlin International Film Festival in 1998 and has also won as the 2nd runner-up in the Audience Award of the Toronto Filmfest. The problem with Jose Rizal if that it concentrates on historical accuracy rather than artistic contribution. The film, as mentioned, is basically a history book adapted to film. My problem with this Rizal film is that the depth of this film’s Rizal is as much as the depth of Rizal you’d get from a high schooler’s Filipino textbook. However, there arealso negative comments that I must say about the movie. The plot was full of twists and turns. It is confusing to watch because of too many flashbacks and you couldn’t guess whether it is still in flashback or not. Also, some scenes are brutal, and some are not suitable for young kids such as the bed scene wherein...
