This study aimed to investigate Pak Nazel’s quatrains (pantun) from two branches; the external beauty and inner beauty with a series of poetry books of his creations namely Riang Ria Berpantun 1 , 2 , 3 (2008) , Pantun Pak Nazel (2010) , Koleksi Pantun untuk Kanak-Kanak (2011) , Pantun Pak Nazel 101 (2012) and Pantun Pak Nazel 2 (2013). Pak Nazel took the initiative to include traditional elements with original convention but in a standard that is very easy to understand. The trendy quatrains, gives the reader a lesson. Through refining and gazing away the work of Pak Nazel quatrain’s shows the owner of this book never runs out of ideas to produce quality quatrains. It will be likable to anyone when expressing about the beauty. The beauty of concrete and abstract form in this world will be interpreted according to people’s view. In order to see the beauty of the quatrains created by Pak Nazel a study approach will be conducted to see two elements of beauty; external beauty and inner beauty. External beauty by Braginsky (1998) and Henry Guntur Tarigan( 1995). Inner beauty is based on 21 moral values purposed by Ministry of Education, pivoted with five major characteristics which are knowledge, patriotism, human values, dynamic and disciplined . For best option, a study on literature review using a qualitative approach will be choosen. Books about poetry will be studied. References in the library can be the best reference in analyzing these quatrains. Pak Nazels’ quatrains will be classified according to the breakdown of external beauty and inner beauty. Observations of various print media, thesis, papers, seminars and internet resources will be filtered according to their research gap.
