Personal Narrative: A Career As A Christian Counselor

In the beginning, when I started here I did well more than I expected because there were more expectations here for moving on into a career and in life, that is quite motivating to push myself to be able to work harder, however, some of my choices did not help me work smarter.
It seems strange because most people would try to motivate themselves to be a better student after receiving praise for doing well academically, but what I did not like was that I didn’t even think carefully about how many classes can I take also what can I get help with since there are so many resources there yet I saw an unhealthy pattern throughout my semesters here.
Never did I know I was anxious some days it is manageable and other days my anxiety felt like an emotional explosion, but when my feelings of feeling alone and how no one cares about me got out of hand, it was to the point where I did not want to go classes anymore,it felt like a routine that was really boring me, so I ended up getting help and seeking a counselor but it didn’t look like she could help me here since she isn’t a Christian counselor and I needed that connection to be able to get over my anxiety, I reached out to a Christian counselor instead.
Knowing that my anxiety is an issue, I met with my doctor and she helped me realize that yes, my concern is real and …show more content…
When I first did better in my first semester than my expectations, I should’ve took on learning from how I could continue improving on from that moment and set a goal it may not be exactly an A on every semester although that should be the expectation, but if it is past a B or C then it is indeed important that I reevaluate what I did wrong, what I need to work on from my

The purpose of this study was to explore, appreciate, and describe their experiences using a phenomenological methodology. Narratives were collected from seven participants who have a parent diagnosed with PD and analyzed according to Colaizzi’s (1978) phenomenological data analysis method. Seven thematic clusters were identified and an exhaustive description is presented to summarize the essence of their lived experience. The study indicates a strong sense of essential positivism from the participants’ stories, and overall, it seems PD has brought some degree of biological, psychological, socially, and/or spiritual meaning to their lives that they may not have otherwise noticed or experienced.
