How are the Bahamas? Probably a lot better than Aunt Marge’s house. I mean, I love Aunt Marge and all, but something about her house is creepy. I hope you come to pick me up soon because I don’t feel like this is the best place for me to stay at, especially since she caught me trying to go in the room at the end of the hallway on the left.
After you dropped me off, Aunt Marge took me into her house and gave me a peanut butter sandwich. The bread seemed to be homemade because it was a little doughy, and the peanut butter was smooth, but a little bland. The comforting gesture made me feel like the trip wasn’t going to be that bad. Can you imagine going to your room every day and you have no idea what is in the room across from you? I tried to ask Aunt Marge about the door many times, usually at dinners when she had no excuse not to listen to me. I remember one conversation better than the others, it was the third night I was there. “Aunt Marge?” I said, “What is behind that door that you don’t want me to see so bad?” She sighed and looked at me and gave me a cold smile, “Some questions are better left unanswered.” I was angry when she said that, so I gave her an empty promise. “I will find what’s behind that door,” I said, “mark my words.” I noticed she tensed a bit, but I don’t think she took me seriously. I didn’t know how, but I knew then that I needed to find what was behind the door. That’s when I made my plan. I had heard her talking about how her back was killing her, and how she needed to see a chiropractor, so I faked an invitation for a free visit to our local chiropractor, and before she left, I would start a movie on the TV, so she would think I would just watch the movie while she was gone, and then once she was out of sight, I would go into the

First, look over the words on our SAT High-Frequency Word List, which you’ll find on the following pages. Each of these words has appeared (as answer choices or as question words) from eight to forty times on SATs published in the past two decades. Next, look over the words on our Hot Prospects List, which appears immediately after the High-Frequency List.
