No, I believe it is better to be a well rounded student rather than just excel in one specific area. I say this because being well rounded opens up many more job opportunities and career possibilities later on in life. Yes, being bi-lingual is very good and looks good on a resume, but it doesn't account for anything if you can't do algebra correctly or can't type up a document. It is said that being a little good at everything is better than being great at one thing. Maybe you're moving the France in the future, then by all means, take French. If you're not going to though then I would think that sacrificing French and pursuing your other, more common and practical courses is a better choice. So maybe you like taking French because it's fun
