Personal Narrative: My Ninja Course

Submitted By
Words 319
Pages 2
Imagine running down the clumsy stairs to go on your ninja course. Imagine your brothers screaming their heads off when they score a point on your basketball hoop. Lastly imagine doing between the leg 360 dunk! My home is by far the best field trip.

When I see the shiny red pipes on the ninja course I scream with joy as if I were a lion! When I jump on the bouncy slippery course I feel like I am in a whole new world. When I see my brothers jump on I slowly hop on and bounce. My brothers love my ninja course and they are like me and go on it a lot. Also when I have competitions to see who is the strongest. I just can not imagine what it would look like when my class goes.

Swish!!! I dribble the ball down the court as if I were Russell Westbrook.

...WRITING REFERENCES Citi: Oil Could Plunge to $20, and This Might Be 'the End of OPEC' "It looks exceedingly unlikely for OPEC to return to its old way of doing business," Morse wrote. Despite global declines in spending that have driven up oil prices in recent weeks, oil production in the U.S. is still rising, wrote Edward Morse, Citigroup's global head of commodity research. Brazil and Russia are pumping oil at record levels, and Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran have been fighting to maintain their market share by cutting prices to Asia. The market is oversupplied, and storage tanks are topping out. A pullback in production isn't likely until the third quarter, Morse said Vets fight to save hero dog who tried to shield owner from house fire "She's doing OK. Considering what Carmen has been through we think she's doing as well as can be expected," Dr. Daniel Carey, a vet at the hospital, told WCPO. "It's not unexpected that she's not ready to come off (the ventilator). It's just that in our best case scenario (we thought) maybe we could've hoped to get her off (Sunday) afternoon," Carey told WCPO The hospital is also providing updates on Carmen through social media, using Facebook to post pictures of the dog resting on a pink blanket and keeping company with a pair of stuffed animals. ...impact of mass media on society. The use of consequences in the title reflects the fact that most cultural researchers prefer this term (instead of media effects) to describe media's influence on human experience. During the past 30 years, culture has emerged as a major theoretical framework in which to investigate media. Chapter I examines how media influence culture generally, as suggested by various contemporary media scholars and others. Chapter II then focuses on critical-cultural theories about the nature of media power and its potentially negative influence. This book can adopted as a supplementary text in introductory mass media courses along with a survey text such as Joseph R. Dominick's The Dynamics of Mass Communication (available from McGraw-Hill). It also can serve as a foundational text for other assigned readings in advanced courses dealing with mass media and society, communication theory, or cultural studies. Students are encouraged to focus thoughtfully on the main ideas, not attempt to merely memorize details. Important concepts and names appear in boldface and are defined in italics. The abridged Subject Index lists the page with the primary discussion of each topic. Sidebars throughout the text, set off with sans serif type, provide insights that supplement the main text. The Notes section cites quoted materials and guides students to other pertinent sources. Special thanks go to colleagues Kenton Bird, Donna Rouner, Marty Traynor and James Van Leuven, all of...
