Introduction
What does personal responsibility mean to me? Personal responsibility means taking responsibility for your actions, in other words, it’s being able to take care of one’s own well-being without expecting or blaming others to do it for you. In school, this means turning in your work on time, studying for you tests and working effectively with your classmates. Personal responsibility and college success go hand in hand because it’s up to you as the student to do what is necessary to succeed in college. My preliminary plan consist of making use of all resources that are available to me, completing assignments in the time allotted and making sure that I have done all the readings required to complete my course.

To begin with, my preliminary plan for personal responsibility and college success is making use of all resources that are available to me. One of the sources that I would use as a resource is the Internet. Doing the proper research on the internet should give me a great understanding on how personal responsibility works. Also, another resource I could use for the following research through the library. Researching from books, magazines or the encyclopedia is an excellent way to get a great understanding because it can give you examples of personal responsibility. Using those appropriate resources should give you the best understanding of personal responsibility to use throughout your time in college as well as your own life.
Next, the second source for my preliminary plan of personal responsibility and college success is completing assignments in the time allotted to me. The management of time is very important to me but the best way to manage my time for my schoolwork by using an efficient calendar. By using a calendar, I can pencil the due dates for all my assignments to have then turned in by the assigned due date. Personal responsibility goes hand in hand with this because not only could you incorporate it with school, but you could also use it with your personal life like a daily schedule to make all of your appointments for your family as well as yourself. Turning in your assignments at the proper time could allow you to get a good grade in class avoiding you losing points towards your grade by turning it in at a later date.
Finally, the last source for my preliminary plan of personal responsibility and college success is to make sure that I have done all the readings required to complete my course. By doing all of the reading for the course, this would result in you getting a better understanding and knowledge of how personal responsibility and college success go hand and hand. Also, there may be certain sections required for you to read in for the course because it can make it easier for you in case there’s an exam or test issued. With that being said, you make have to go back to chapters of you reading to make sure
You have the proper information to get the possible correct answer. Close reading in groups also can help students read important passages so they can get a better understanding. Working together and answering specific questions can help to be more successful with their comprehension.
In conclusion, what does personal responsibility mean? Personal responsibility requires one to finally accept the truth that you are responsible for your own actions. Most of the time when mistakes are made, the initial reaction is to point a finger or find an excuse rather than accepting responsibility. Personal responsibility is the key to College success because at times, most students find themselves falling short of what lies in between these two. My preliminary plan consist of making use of all resources that are available to me, completing assignments in the time allotted and making sure that I have done all the readings required to complete my course.
