The Pieter Claesen Wyckoff house is one of many New York City's oldest Dutch Colonial houses that still standing in the Hudson area that dates over 400 years old. Pieter Claesen house was built in 1652 during the Dutch colonial period and it's specific location is 5816 Clarendon road in Brooklyn. What makes this house and its location unique of other colonial houses is that is one of the oldest Dutch farmhouses to survive and it's inside of the Canarsie's Milton Park. A brief history of the owner, Pieter arrived at the New Netherlands as many settlers in the 1600s as a tenant farmer; not only that, when Pieter decided to occupy the house to raise his family, the house has existed since the Dutch West India Company rule.
