PTY Objectives:
During my placement at the Savoy, I am expected to be assigned with a number of different tasks in my allocated departments of the hotel. For instance, I will be working in housekeeping and I believe that this could be a challenging task to me as housekeeping involves different skills and physical jobs. I believe that such an experience will offer me an opportunity to testify my adaptability of working in a new environment, as well as the capability of acquiring new skills. I also believe that this will be beneficial to me as it will be the first time that I will be working in the rooms division department and as it is the first rotation of my placement, I believe it will give me a chance to adapt to the standards of the Savoy as I will not be directly in contact with its customers just yet. I will also be working in the Food and Beverage (F&B) department under events for my second rotation. I believe that this is beneficial to me as I would have not only familiarised myself with my surroundings but by that period of time I believe I would have gained some vital training on how to behave and hold myself in front of customers. I trust this will be a great opportunity to seek professional experience within the catering and events industry. The Savoy operates some of the most exquisite F&B outlets within the industry, which means I will be able to learn high standard knowledge and skills in terms of the mannerisms of service and expand my current level of customer service skills. This would significantly enhance my employability in the future as I will have worked in two different divisions of a five star hotel which does not accept anything but high standards. However I expect to work hard and not to be given any sort of lea way within my placement, I expect to be continuously absorbing new techniques in order to have the ability to project the Savoy

The results suggest that young adults in both countries perceive film product placement in a similar way but, with respect to television, Korean respondents tend to perceive it as less effective in enhancing content realism and more unethical and misleading. In addition, the findings suggest that, for both film and TV, material- ism, attitude towards advertising, and realism enhancement appeared to be significant predictors of consumer cognitive response to product placement. However, cross-cultural differences were observed for TV product placement. In the US, materialism and real- ism enhancement were found to be most powerful predictors of cognitive response to product placement. In contrast, attitude towards advertising and materialism were found to be the strongest predictors in Korea. Implications for both advertising researchers and practitioners are provided.
