Section 1: Academic and Career Goals (M1 A3) My career goals consist of being the best photographer I can while getting my degree for substance abuse counseling. I have different goals for both of the careers I plan on holding. I want to be done with my degree and working within the next 4 years, I want to make a difference in people’s lives. I know I can’t save everyone, but my goal is to definitely save as many as I can. For photography, my goal is to have my name out there; I want to shoot more than just friends and family members. I want to hopefully have my own little photography business on the side.
Section 2: Organizing your Time for Success (M2 A2)
I love to be organized. It makes me feel like my thought process is allowed to flow freely, I don’t like clutter, and I don’t like rushing things. So I keep a day planner on my desk right next to my lap top so that I can open it and know what I have going on for that day. I have everything in my planner; my work dates & times, important events for that day, due dates for school. Sadly with how much I work, it’s hard to get in some good study time. But I go with what I can. I also have a monthly calendar up, and things are color coordinated; bills, events, appointments, due date, they each have their own color so that it’s easy to see what going on for the day when I’m in a hurry.
Section 3: Study Strategies and Learning Styles (M3A2, M4A1)
The SmarterMeasure report indicated my primary learning style is aural, which means I use music and such to help me remember my studies. (Argosy Univ. 2015) some study techniques I have learned is using the same set list to do everything, it helps with memory. Sometimes hearing things out loud are also a huge help.

...Neither success nor failure depends on the complexity of a plan. It is quite the reverse. Success depends on the planner and the execution of the plan. An ethical strategy and motivation play important roles in achieving accomplishment. In addition, setting short- and long-term goals, establishing and utilizing a list of resources, and continual improvement are equally important. My personal plan for success is relatively simple. I will not compromise my values or morals to achieve a position in my professional or academic life.
