The chapter I drew from the bag was chapter three. I chose the section on improving langue skills because it was interesting to me because I want to know how improving my languge skills can help me be a stronger speaker. By the end of my presentation, I want my audience to know or understand: that the better we speak the better opportunities we can have

This area is important to fours on because every day we are trying to improve the way we talk in are messages ,either to are friends or in formal setting, because there are certain words that we use that can alter the mean of the messages that we are trying to convey or make it a memorable message. When we are able to choose words that accurate convey are messages it demonstrates are linguistic sensitivity,

In the book it states that we should strive to use words that help the listener assign a meaning to what we are trying to get them to understand. For example in theses to messages the first one “in a car some nuts almost got me a while ago’ compare to ‘an hour ago a man in a beat up Honda civic almost ran my car over on fau avenue at the red light’. Theses two scenarios are almost the same but the second on is better because it uses specific words which clear up any confusion caused by the general narrowing words. Specific words are more precise than general words .what we can do to speak more specific? we can try and select words that capture what we trying to say for example if I was to say ‘ that dress was ugly’ I could altar what I’m trying to convoy by saying ‘I think that dress was really ugly because it doesn’t flatter her figure and the color made her look washout ‘. The difference between the two statements was that the specific words show a shade of meaning of what you feel because other may feel different then how you feel. Then there are concrete words that help us see, hear, and taste what the speaker is saying through words .the word speak can be consider to be a abstract word because there are many different ways that we speak .when we use precise words it know as narrowing a larger category of words down .to clarify a simple word we can add details to the word to help improve the contain in which we are using that word. By providing examples on how that word effect people. For example if someone was to say’ she is a very loyal friend’ the way we would expand the meaning of the word on what makes her loyal. A way to clarify is message is by dating information which help in details from a certain period that was know to be true. That’s why we usually work cite are pages because it backs up the fact that we are trying to prove true.

An study from

To end this i would like to say that’s it every impornt that we work on are languages skill. And start it at a younger age so that lids know that there is a right and worng way to get your point arccross . what you say can easily get mixed up if the wordings is worg or used in the worng content .

Life Plan

...My Life Plan Stephanie Bazilio Keiser University My Life Plan By definition, success is “the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one’s goals” (Dictionary.com, 2016). John Rawls believed that a “rational life plan” (Boss, 2015, pg. 15) needs to be developed in order to achieve success. With a life plan, the goal-setter is made aware of all the progression they’ve made, which will subconsciously make them want to do more, until they have met all of their goals. In view of this, I will be sharing my values, my strengths and weaknesses, my short and long term goals, and my plans of action to achieve those goals. This is my life plan. There are a lot of values I view as important, however, I managed to come up with my own personal statement of important values. It is important for me to live with purpose and with immense ambition, with determination and great focus. It is important for me to tear down walls, searching for independence and honesty, while preserving the sacredness of God. It is important that I welcome challenges with perseverance that will lead to wisdom and it is important that I share faith, provide hope, and spread love. I want to encourage, provide guidance, and to also inspire others, but most importantly, to love radically, serve sacrificially, and to give generously. What I have found to be my strengths during this phase of my life is the responsibility I have...

Life Plan

...The Plan Faith I believe in God. I believe that He is my Heavenly Father and that He ultimately wants me to be happy. I will make Him and His plan for me a priority in my life. This will be done through prayer to Him. I will do this in the morning and in the evening. I will go to Him with my thanks, questions, and concerns. I will do this so that I can better feel His love and influence in my life. I will do this because my life has been truly blessed, and I want to express my gratitude. This will allow me to recognize the many ways I have been blessed. I will also dedicate at least a portion of my morning to reading and pondering the scriptures. I will do this to better understand His character and His plan. 1. Pray at least every morning and evening. 2. Read scriptures daily. Create and follow study plans. 3. Attend the temple once a week. 4. Complete church assignments. Including but not limited to home teaching. My spiritual plan is discussed more in depth in my spiritual plan document. Family & Home I want to be a dedicated and loyal husband. I am currently seeking my future spouse and wish to marry a woman who has a testimony in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I want to regularly attend the temple with her. Together we will hold a Family Home Evening every Monday. This time will be used to build family unity through instruction, games and simple time spent together. In order to do this I will focus on being honest and developing a greater interest in the lives of...

Life Plan

...* Life Plan for Micah Taylor Presented by Leader: Kareem White Team Members: * Ernast May * Nathanial Rhenwrick * Willie Nelson III April 4, 2013 Introduction We, the future leaders of the Journey would like to thank you for your willingness and kindness to attend our meetings. Not everyone would have been as courageous, honest and open to discuss personal matters that relate to their lives. By no means do we identify ourselves as professionals or experts in the subject matters discussed in this document. We are simply a group of men who have committed ourselves to a process that includes self-awareness, reflection to identify our issues and to control/eliminate the weaknesses. We identify our issues as weaknesses, because they draw us from the Light of God and places us in a state of Darkness. When the ability to shine the Light has been removed from us, we are unable to share the source of the light with humanity. We fellowship to share and resolve the many issues we encounter in life. Our purpose is not prejudice, judgment or to be critical of one another. We have all fallen short, yet we strive to finish the race and to become what God has called us to be. Allow us to share with you a model that will help you in your search for answers. This plan is only the first step and we hope it will be a tool to guide you to the desired change you expressed to us. I. Your Expressions We heard you say that anger, lust, uncertainty...

Tai Chi Life Plan

...I was asked to organize a Life Behavior Plan for myself and turn it at the end of the year. Although this paper may seem to be opposite of what my agenda is suppose to be; it is in fact my approach to a better behavior. For some people a good behavior plan may consist of exercise and physical strengthening. For others maybe a healthier diet is in need. To me a behavior plan is something that helps organize your life or puts light on issues that need to become more balanced. Ultimately a balanced life is the goal of our behavior plans. My Behavior plan is to meditate and get back to doing the one thing that I do best and that is to write. The following paragraphs are part of a daily/weekly ritual I like to call “Words of Wisdom.” They are my thoughts on various aspects of life. These thoughts are brought to me through meditation and some research. The goal of these, “Words of Wisdom” is to focus on areas of unbalance in my life and plan my approach to getting them in balance. The following is my approach and thoughts on self confidence Believing in one’s self is a structured characteristic. Self confidence isn’t obtained easily this is because there are several aspects of one’s life that must be balanced in order for self confidence to be obtained. One can’t just get confidence it is an earned characteristic and must be tried and tested. High ego or cockiness can easily be mistaken for confidence because most people associate lack of fear with being confident. However confidence...

My Nursing Career and Life Plan

...MY NURSING CAREER AND LIFE PLAN As written by Walter Mosely, “America now stand on a fiscal precipice and right now our money is worth less daily as our children’s potential is dwindling, our medical insurance, Social Security and ability to make choices about when and if we retire are eroding”. So I decided to become a nurse, to have health insurance, paid vacations, 401k pension plans and security of tenure. The need for a career that is not just a JOB, but a career that can make me financially stable (no more paycheck to paycheck), a career which will bring joy to both me and those I help nurture back to health. Even as a small child attending Elementary School, I had this vision of becoming a Nurse and working in as hospital assisting the sick and needy. Not just a nurse trying to make money, but also that nurse who shows caring and understanding for all patients young or old, rich or poor, and of course the one that would see beyond a patients color. Life doesn’t always take you in a single direction, so even though I have worked in numerous industries including the healthcare field, dreams got pushed aside as other interests were pursued. Today I can say that I have taken that first step; that giant leap to achieving that dream. Finally, I have registered and started classes which will lead to me graduating with an Associate of Science degree and ultimately becoming a Registered Nurse after 2 years of study and also being successful in the State Licensure...

Valuing Work and Creating an Effective Life Plan

...The unemployment rate in the United States as of January 2012 stands at 9 percent. When sifting through the classifieds most jobs require a degree in that field of work but most importantly, most companies prefer to hire someone with prior experience in that field. The notion is that more experience one has, the less time they will have to train that employee to be proficient. Imagine if “experience preferred” was not only for regular jobs but applied to elected officials having served in the armed forces as a prerequisite to becoming elected. The United States Constitution says the President of the United States is the Commander-in-Chief of the United States Army, Navy, and Air Force. Our current 44th President, Barack Obama has not served in the Armed Forces. When asked why he didn’t serve he stated, “The Vietnam War had come to an end. We weren’t engaged in an active military conflict. It’s not an option that I ever decided to pursue.” (Harnden, 2008) Less than one percent of the U.S. population serves in the Armed Forces. In fact, only 24 of our 44 presidents served in the military. For the rest, the Commander-in-Chief title is their only association with the military. Our leaders should have experience in being in the military. Not only do they gain insight and valuable experience by rising through the ranks they attain core values such as Leadership, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. However, critics argue that to be successful...
