While communicating in the workplace you have to follow certain guidelines, and that is what takes place in my current job environment. Respect is a big issue. Some people often tend to forget that we are human beings. It does not matter whether or not you are higher in position than others. Talking formally to other employees/employers is another way communication expressed. In which, can create a problem within the plant, because we got people who gossip, and switch what they have heard around and end up hurting ones feelings. These two expressions go hand in hand. Being respectful allows you to speak in a proper tone or language.
There are also barriers when it comes to the workplace. The one I encounter the most is cultural.
There is an excessive amount of stereotyping, many employees speak different languages, and it tends to cause misunderstandings. The women in my workplace, tends to take the lead and get away with things more often than others. Another barrier is personality. The way we process information is also different from others, I am a hands on learner and often clash with the employees who needs precise explanation. This is when the personality barriers often start. Communication can sometimes become a very big problem, and may interrupt me at times, or just maybe slow me down.

For example, I am at school trying to listen to the instructor while class is in session. I cannot concentrate because there are other students in the class, who is next to me whispering loudly and it is bothering me. I cannot concentrate and listen because my mind is set on why they are whispering and what are they whispering about. When this happens, I make it an issue because I am here to learn and do not put me in a position to where I cannot listen. If it continues to

I don’t much though into sub-groups though, since virtually everyone from the same group gets along. First, the mass majority of an average highschool population; the populars (pops). Yes! That’s right, you didn’t read wrong. Contrary to the beliefs of many, populars are not a select few, but majority of the population. Some short cartoons were also made by animation artist Max Fleischer. In 1930’s, popular artists songs were performed during cartoons. ...racism is something that many can distinguish and acknowledge, inferential racism on the other hand is often overlooked. Today’s popular culture- film, television, music, and even common household objects- reveal a system of racism that consists of stereotypical racial ideology. All of the points brought up in the article were something that I could recognize immediately and relate to what I’ve seen myself in popular culture today. I was reminded of a recent controversy I had heard about over the new Peter Pan reboot that will be released in summer 2015, with the casting of white actor Rooney Mara, for the role of the Native American character, Tiger Lily. In fact, all of Tiger Lily’s tribe in the film is portrayed by white actors. Their clothing fails to represent traditional Native American wear, and seems to consist of stereotypical bright colors and lots of feathers. The only people of color in the film played minor supporting roles. I felt that this was a real life example of how “White people are allowed to play anybody” and continue to portray people of all different races, erasing cultures and fueling stereotypes in the process.
