Difference from the other face-masks, the face-mask invented by Ultimate Health Ltd. used a thickened fiber as its surface. The thickness is equivalent to the masks used for military’s. Its design is specifically catered to the needs of Chinese by which two iron wires are added on both the top and the bottom of the masks ensuring the breathing system of the people in used of its face-mask are entirely protected. Its lavender-scented makes the mask standing out from the other face-masks with no special favors. Asthma Foundation was founded by professionals afflicted with Asthma; AF was established to provide educational resources that inform patients, medical professionals and the general public about the latest clinical advances, management and treatment options for Asthma disorders.

President for the Asthma Foundation, Ms. Charmaine Lau, said, “Nowadays, the pollution problem is becoming more and more serious, that it is a MUST we need to face it squarely. I’m looking forward to the 9th Dec as it’s a very good occasion for us to increase the public awareness of healthy breathing. I’ll be extremely interested to know how the mask provided by Ultimate Health Ltd. could help tackling pollution in depth. It’s a very meaningful co-marketing event.”

We have some proven track record that the face-mask can help preventing 67% of the pollution in the air from reaching people’s lungs. It’s not our own judgment or our own claim. I’m quite certain women and children will be pleasantly surprised by the product launch. In one word, I cannot really wait to see it comes into the reality!” stated, CEO of Ultimate Health Ltd., Ms. Zoie Lau.

...Entry 1 Week 1 Understanding the definition of ‘Public Relations’ was daunting me from the minute I pressed send on my UCAS application. I had studied Fashion PR at The Fashion Retail Academy so I had a vague idea of what it was all about but began panicking when the thought occurred to me that I might be asked to go for an interview before being offered a place at University. What would I say if someone asked me in an interview what ‘Public Relations’ is? I began my research straight away into finding the perfect definition by purchasing Public Relations for Dummies from Amazon. This gave me a better understanding of what it was all about but it was still very difficult to grasp a short punctual definition of what Public Relations stands for. ‘What is PR?’ was the title for my first lecture which filled me with ease as I then became aware that I probably wasn’t meant to start university knowing exactly what public relations stood for. As the lecture went on it became apparent that actually defining Public Relations is a very difficult task and that there are many definitions, however a main word that comes up again and again when describing public relations is ‘communicating’. Entry 2 Week 2 I have had my first lecture on the module ‘Media and Cultural Landscapes’ finding it challenging and difficult to get my head around but on the other hand extremely interesting. Marxism was a critical theory that we talked about very briefly and as I don’t know a lot about Marxism...

How Not to Get a Job in Public Relations

...In addition to my PR responsibilities, I am also in charge of the employee hiring process. I field cover letters and resumes, handle initial interviews and administer our agency writing test. Sometimes this work is interesting and even enjoyable. Sometimes it's baffling. Not to mention irritating. My most recent HR experience certainly fell into the latter two categories. I had received via e-mail the cover letter and resume of a young woman who had graduated from a local university two months before with a degree in mass communications. As we were looking to fill a summer part-time internship, I invited her — let's call her "Jane" — to interview. She performed satisfactorily in the interview, demonstrating confidence in her abilities and familiarity with the agency. But she didn't really impress me, and while her resume had several internships and showed some relevant experience, I was not in a rush to hire her. So I thanked "Jane" for her time and asked whether she would agree to take our agency writing test. She said she would and I e-mailed it to her. As always, I did not give a firm deadline to return the test, believing how long it takes an applicant to return the test is a fair gauge of how much she wants the job. Our writing test has a part where the applicant is asked to write a one-page press release based on about 25 bullet points from which to select content, a PR savvy part where a problem is posed and the applicant proposes a solution, and an editing...

...Writing Sample At times you will be asked to provide writing samples as part of your job or internship application. A writing sample provides an employer with an example of how you organize and express your thoughts. The purpose is to convince an employer that you can create the kind of written materials and handle the type of work that is expected of an employee in the position for which you are applying. A writing sample is common for positions in media, law or research assistant roles in a variety of industries. Below are some tips to help you decide what to submit and how to prepare writing samples: Choose samples that demonstrate the type of writing you would do on the job. Unless otherwise specified by the employer, and if possible, make sure that your samples match the genre of the writing that the position would involve. For example, if you are applying for journalism positions, submit “clips”—actual articles that have been published in a campus newspaper, blog, or other publication. For a research position, submit an in-depth analysis of an issue or a topic. For a PR position, submit a press release that you have written from a previous internship or as the marketing chair of a campus group. If you don’t have any, you can write a press release for an upcoming event (just make sure you specify that it has not been published). Submit your best writing. If you are deciding between two papers you have written, and one is better written than the other but your...

...Elephant William does not write bestsellers or biographies of some of the greatest and most famous people in the world. His books are being sold for 1,99$ pr copy in record shops. His supject is the small time singers still alive even though he had wanted more "William would have preferred the film stars (male, golden age of cinema) but those had been claimed by someone quicker off the mark, and so William made the best of what he had been given." He now he is not one of the big guys in the business he just have to take what he can get. While writing he has created relations to his subjects and to in special. Christine: "Christine was his favourite, the sassy gospel singer who'd made it big; who was delighted by her own booty and sang songs about pride and God." As the quite says she is William's favourite. He had enjoyed to write her biography more than any of the others. In my opinion he sees her as a kind of light in the dark. In his eyes she is the smile and happiness he misses. "He pulled the curtains even tighter together..." he is sitting in his study with the curtains pulled which creates a dark atmosphere with Christine as his guiding light. William's feelings for her through his writing is also shown at the end of the story: "He wanted to give Christine something she had never had, something important of himself." in the biography of her he wants to do something special for her something the others will not get. He gives a blue elephant just like he got. An elephant...

...medium of business communication in these days. The purpose of the communication between sender and receiver is to fix a meeting in a future date for next orders to be supplied by the sender and to satisfy to the receiver that his previous orders are being completed and will be sent to him on time. Moreover, if some items are required or needed on urgent basis then these can also be supplied on specific date to the receiver mentioned by him. Both e-mails have been written for business objectives so these are business emails and not personal emails (Romkema, 2012). In these two emails many barriers can be found at first sight, when read. The first very bad thing in both emails is missing of subject line which is a necessary requirement for writing an email because subject lines are headlines always present in any text communication as well as in email communication. The second barrier in both emails is that these emails have more than two points per email while for better understanding and clarification of the subject matters there must be only one point agenda. But the both e-mails focusing on different issues combined which does not make them precise and comprehensive, so desired and effective communication is not possible through these e-mails. The first e-mail has some other barriers as it is just like a confused paragraph and seems not an e-mail. Further, e-mail must be written literarily without using slang language and...

...CRISOSTOMO, Jestine A. Age of Paperless Paper / Online newsroom When I was young, my mother taught me how to write on paper. Tracing letters to words and drawing of dog or a flower. When I was growing up, my teacher always want us to write essays, poems or even lectures on paper - back to back. Yeah, I had a tough time writing on paper but I do know that because of that experience, I learn how to write, to read, to compose and to draw or sketch. Paper is a thin sheet of a material made from fibers derived from wood or grass. A thin sheet that helped me molds the person that I am now and a thin sheet that gave me the knowledge that I have now. Through the years, paper is used as a medium to convey printed or written information such as books, magazines, newspaper, and etc. Today, the digitalization in the print industry leads to an assumption that the Age of paperless paper is coming. Yes, paperless, based on the pessimistic people. No more printed outputs, no more newspapers and magazines or even books that are held and read by human. Of course, electronic books (ebooks) are available now. You can have a book on your gadget for free or pay just a little amount rather than buying a real book. Online newspaper and magazines too are converging to online world. They already have applications that let you read the same newspaper using just your gadget with the help of the internet. Cool right? Life becomes easier with the advent of technology. But it gives a hard time to the print...
