Dear American Intellectual Union: I am writing to provide you with the job satisfaction statistics using gender, tenure, position, department, age, intrinsic and extrinsic data. Evaluating 44 people at random selection from those your organization offered. Some of this information will be in numbers and some in percentages to help give better understanding of the overall satisfaction of employees. The dataset used is from the surveys that ask several questions to give answers in order to help understand job satisfaction at a deeper level. There are many variables that have been used; there was gender, department, position, tenure and job statistic, by using quantitative and qualitative in addition to intrinsic and extrinsic data. For instance, the department of Human Resource Management for the State of Virginia received data on statistics of workplace conflict and found that difficulties in the workplace that step from troubled relationships accounts for 60 to 80 percent of those issues and that managers are spending one to two days weekly on trying to manage them. They also found that employees believe that discrimination is a large problem with in business and that in 2001; about 50 percent of employers reported they had been sued by employees. Another interesting find was that employers that used mediation or arbitration reduced litigation cost as much as 50 to 80 percent, but it still remains that the compensation amount for these type of suits have risen dramatically (Workplace Conflict Statistics). Statistics is important to an organization because it helps plan for the future, it gives the organization indications where it’s focus needs to be regarding pay, benefits, trends, and many other areas in that can help the organization not only grow, but help it have employees that will help in the process of its goals.
