CrysTel is a company that has grown to be successful by providing its customers with telecommunications products such as data cables, wireless solutions, and others. Based in Illinois the company has been successful by providing customers with the latest products on the market, which has led CrysTel’s revenue to $200 million and its employee workforce to 2,500 people. With the market advancing CrysTel has decided to increase their portfolio with services to keep up with changes and demand within the market. A change of this significance will require executive management to develop and implement a plan that will be effective for success of the company. Resistance to change and lack of flexibility endangers the progression of an organization, which limits its power. CrysTel has a vision to be the first choice for telephony, data and voice services in Illinois and a mission to provide customers with the best and reliable telecommunications services statewide. Some of the values the company goes by are Integrity, Community Development and to provide Shareholder Value.
Due to structure of companies, the development of technology and people, changes within organizations are constantly being made. When deciding to implement change the company has to be prepared to handle various problems and concerns such as employee resistance. Employees of CrysTel have a high resistance to changes made within the departments and company. This change could be a negative set back for CrysTel but can also turn positive if problems are identified prior to the change occurring and or while taking place.
