The Royal Caribbean Navigation app is only available for users of android and Apple devices. The app is free to download and is able to connect on all RCL guest using Royal Caribbean Wi-Fi networks. The Royal Caribbean navigation app connects to the ship networks in the port terminal as well. The Wi-Fi network is complimentary only if Royal Caribbean guest use it to access the app while the mobile device is on “airplane mode”. The Royal Caribbean navigation app complies with mobile device settings, so therefore within the app it allows the guest to change the settings to airplane mode. The Royal Caribbean app brings excitement to all guests with the wonderful countdown feature. The app allows the user to enter their plan vacation date, and the app will store the information to countdown to the scheduled vacation. The Royal Caribbean navigation app countdown minutes, hours, and days. With a simple tap of your smart device, Royal Caribbean navigator app permits guest to information regarding characters, deck parties, dining, entertainment, live shows, nightclubs and lounges, ports of call, spa services, shopping, youth clubs. The best part of the Royal Caribbean navigator app is the guest locator. Royal Caribbean guest are able to locate other guest in their group, which also have the app devices. Royal Caribbean guest is able to view what is happening every minute of every day. The Royal Caribbean navigator app syncs with the devices calendar to alert the app user of saved activities. The Royal Caribbean navigator app is beneficial to the users as well as the organization. The app allows the company to reduce the number of newsletters, and onboard activity printed paper that is produce on a daily basis. The Royal Caribbean navigator app is the handy guide the every ship magic that awaits the entire family while on board so the customers will never have to miss a thing.
The navigation app is new and innovative to eliminate the need for paper itinerary. The introduction of the navigation app is being introduced on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and is available to all passengers aboard the ship along with complimentary Wi-Fi services. This market that is exclusive for the Royal Caribbean Cruise line, and we anticipate continued growth with the other cruise lines. Product Life Cycle is important to establish to understand how the navigation app can be successful, and a profit will also come from the navigation app on all cruise lines. The continued success of the navigation app demands on the company continues to be proactive in managing the product throughout its lifetime. We have to apply the appropriate resources, sales and marketing strategies.
Introduction of the Navigation App has been expensive for the company to launch this product exclusively to Royal Caribbean. The cost of the launch was to do research of how well this app could work in this market. The development of the app accessible for the various devices, testing and marketing included in the cost to introduce the navigation app. We anticipate the strong growth of sales and profits after the initial launch on the Royal Caribbean and then the launch to the other cruise lines. The sales and profits from our initial launch will allow the company to invest more of the money into the promotions of the navigation app and maximize are growth with the other cruise lines. The maturity of the navigation app after about one year of the product launch will establish, and the focus will be to maintain the current upward climb of the product. Consideration will be taken to modify and improve the features of the navigation app as it is needed to customize for the different cruise lines. The decline of the paper itinerary will be obsolete within the next few months once the launch of the navigation app on the Royal Caribbean.
The packaging will be any iPhone or android phones that have access to IOS or google play. The application will allow the flexibility of users from all over the world. The package will mimic the Royal Caribbean themes for each ship. Royal Caribbean has a fleet of over 20 ships and up to 100 different activities for each day. This app will mirror the beauty of the ships and information about the various destinations. This app will also give an alert an hour before the boat will lease the various ports. The app will be able to navigate the boat with specific boat diagrams and always the helpful app for assistance anywhere on the ship.
This app will be utilizing the Wi-Fi from the ship. Because we know that when many cell phone users are in one place the system can jam so we are working on a system that will allow the massive user access during their travels. When you are in downtown Chicago on a busy sports day, Hawks, Bulls and Bears, the signals cross or can cause a system shut down. We are looking into boosting the Wi-Fi capabilities on the ship.
There are many values that this will add value to our product, app availability, app design with ease of use and the ability to maintain connection while multiple users are on board. This will add value to our overall product by making it useful and offer hands on atmosphere with the ships guest. The ability to maintain connection gears us to an ultimate customer satisfaction. Which we know and Royal Caribbean is known for is the satisfaction of the customer.
In the global technology market, more organizations are becoming socially conscious of global warming therefore more organizations are focusing on going paperless. We analyzed how many people travel your cruise line yearly. Royal Caribbean owns over twenty-two ships and accommodate up to 2,800 – 5,400 passengers on each boat per trip which means that your company spend estimated cost $2,500,000 million on printing brochures per boat, as we know, those paper maps are given to the guest so they can find their way around the cruise ship. We will justify our explanation why Royal Caribbean should consider buying our navigational app through markets, pricing and strategy to make Royal Caribbean and even greater force to be reckoned with in the cruise industry.
Justification of International App Marketing
According to Census 74.8 % of the U S consumers use a form of technology such as; desktop, laptop, tablets and smartphones they use them for several reasons but mainly for communication and second reason is because of great apps. Globally over a billion of people download apps for games or for navigation around the city they live in. Our navigational app can be use international wherever the boat goes the App can be downloaded. The app will save Royal Caribbean millions in printing.

In an international market, the pricing strategy of the company should be based on the competitor’s price. According to Forbes chart below the following companies Google, Apple and Microsoft have millions of app users and purchasers.

The cost to build the Royal Caribbean App buy an inexperienced programmer can cost in upwards of $2,000,000 and if they are Royal Caribbean employees benefits. Royal Caribbean cruise navigation shipment for approval all templates of colors, logos, and specifications for each ship. Part of our contract would be to assist you with boosting the power to Royal Caribbean’s current Wi-Fi to accommodate the massive usage. The buying process for the Royal Caribbean navigational app is fairly straightforward, making this a direct sale to the internet, to the two major places people purchase apps for phones and tablets, iTunes and Google Play. This will be a free download for our customers or a low fee of $0.99-$1.99 as the product will need to be maintained to ensure there are no bugs or when new information, such as a new ship is brought into the line.
Buy selling direct through iTunes and Google Play, our customers will benefit from an easy to obtain and familiar marketplace. By making this an easy to obtain option for our customers, they can start to play with the features of the app before even boarding the cruise to familiarize them with the ship and where certain activate will be. This helps greatly in the planning of the fun filled vacation they are about to have.
