Anyone making this statement is not stating the truth. 1SG Charter even welcomed me and knew nothing of the issues. I was integrated into Fco and started work for taking over the outgoing AIT PSG’s role. A rehabilitative would have come with a counseling laying out the issues. 12 January 2014: My Battle, SFC Lanny Duarte, was killed on 12 January 2014 in a single car crash. This resulted in me taking over his platoon.

6. 13 January 2014: I assumed responsibility and accountability of 1st and 3rd platoon comprised of more than 150 Soldiers. The 3rd Platoon Sergeant was in SLC. Expected duration of responsibility was 3 March 2014 (See Exhibit 02).

7. Administrative support from SFC Bollay was provided. At no time was SFC Bollay expected to hold a platoon. I identified excessive administrative and training deficiencies. I was neither willing nor able to ignore my findings. SFC Bollay can account for this and the Soldier data I had to create from scratch. He is located in Bravo Company.

8. 13 January 2014: No tracking mechanism existed to know what platoon the Soldiers belonged. I published an Action Notice directing each Soldier in 1st and 3rd platoon to email me with their platoon in the subject; nothing more. To my dismay, there was resistance to this simple task.
