How does an organization determine the best channel for distribution of a product or service? What type of distribution strategy are you planning for your final marketing plan organization?

A company determines the best channel for distribution of their product based on several factors. In order to determine this, a company must clearly identify what type of customer is in its target market. Phoenix Express Care has determined that the target market for their organization is the local communities, primarily patients with minor injuries not requiring urgent care services. Phoenix Express Care will look at a partnership with the local grocery stores as well as pharmacies. We will provide our services inside their establishments. We will also promote our business and services via flyers at the local pharmacies, all local grocery stores, etc. We will create a website for the organization promoting our services and any coupon/rebates that will be provided to the consumers.

In addition to the local printed materials and the website, Phoenix Express Care will also utilize radio advertising and also television advertising to help saturate the market with awareness about the company. The company is new to the area and for this reason, heavy investment in paid advertising should be an effective strategy to help raise awareness and drive new business. As the company becomes better known and has gained new customers, the company will reduce all of these forms of marketing. We will evaluate the customer’s response as to what brought them into the facility and focus on continuing with the most successful strategies going forward.
