Introduction

Colourful Corporation is multinational company with an estimated worth of $50billion. The company is currently looking to diversify and invest into Qantas airlines a company worth approximately $22billion but currently not in the best economic state, suffering substantial losses. The company budget of $500million allocated for this investment needs to be thoroughly reviewed before making any further decisions.

The report looks at several factors relating to Qantas airlines and the implications and changes to these factors if Colourful Corporations decides to investment in this company.
The issues which may affect this investment decisions are Qantas global strategy, staffing policy, labour union issues, outsourcing of maintenance services, global marketing and advertising strategy, use of global logistics, sustainability, foreign ownership, prospects related to financial status, share price and national sovereignty matters.
Due to time constraints this report identifies 1. Qantas global strategy; 2. Global marketing and advertising strategy and 3. Sustainability as the 3 main drivers of reasoning behind the possible investment decision of Colourful Corporation.

The aim of the report is to advise the CEO on the Qantas global strategy, global marketing and advertising strategy and sustainability issues relating to Qantas airlines and the implications of these changes to Colourful Corporations if the company decides to investment in this company.

Jetstar said although the flight landed safely in clear conditions, the airline was taking the incident very seriously and was working with the bureau. "The pilots reported that on approach an incorrect autopilot setting resulted in the aircraft going off its pre-determined track." The aircraft dropped to 1920m for a short time when it should have been flying at 2225m. "This never put the aircraft in danger and the incident didn't trigger any cockpit alerts. The pilots realised the error and corrected it promptly," a Jetstar spokesman said. The two pilots, who had a combined total of 23,000 hours' experience and had been flying to and from Queenstown for the past two years without incident, reported the incident to Jetstar and to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), Australia's equivalent of the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority.
