Quality Components Health care quality denotes doing the appropriate thing, at the appropriate time, in the appropriate way, for the appropriate individuals as well as possessing the finest possible results (Quality, n.d.). The following are some health care quality components being effective, safe, timely, patient focused, equitable, and efficient. These are all quality components that a healthcare facility should take into consideration. Create Quality Being effective means stipulating services based on scientific knowledge to patients that can benefit and abstaining from stipulating services to those who are not probable to benefit (Quality, n.d.). Safety means to prevent injuries to patients from the care that is meant to assist them (Quality, n.d.). Being timely means to decrease wait time and occasionally damaging intervals for both the receiver and giver of care (Quality, n.d.). Focusing on the patient by stipulating care that is respectful of and receptive to the patient’s preferences, needs and values and making sure that the patient values lead all clinical choices (Quality, n.d.). Being equitable through stipulating care, which does not differ in quality because of personal individualities such as gender, ethnicity, geographic, location and SES (Quality, n.d.). Efficiently operating through preventing waste, incorporating waste equipment, supplies, ideas, and energy (Quality, n.d.). These are all ways to create quality in a health care organization for the patient. Customers: Patients The customers of healthcare facilities are called patients; it takes a lot to satisfy these customers. Patients have significantly high expectations and are less likely to tolerate poor service. In the health care field they must understand that patients are coming to them to find answers about a problem. They are coming into the health care facility already on edge and they are expecting all the staff to “fix” their problem and treat them with respect, courtesy and care. However, they also expect the staff to be professional and want them to have confidence in their work, no patient likes a physician that does not have confidence in their work. Customer Service Expectations Customer expectations are the beliefs that they have about service delivery, which function as standards against how a performance is judged (McGraw, n.d.). Customers associate their views of performance with those standards when assessing service quality. Customers have diverse types of service expectations: desired service that reveals what the customer wants; adequate service, which is what customers are ready to endure and predicted service, or what customers think that they are most likely to get (McGraw, n.d.). These various levels of service are replicated within the customer’s area of acceptance that creates the flexibility in the service provision that a customer is willing to endure (McGraw, n.d.). The customer expectations and tolerances are inclined by a diversity of aspects such as the type of business, product or services being provided. References

Computer Hardware Components

...Discussion: Computer Hardware Components There where several different articles that I found that talked extensively about different computer hardware components. The one component that I found that was interesting and that I never know how many different computer components go into it is graphics cards. Graphics cards use every part of a computer to function correctly and they are built right into the card its self. They have their own RAM, some have their own power supply and they even have their own type of CPU that is called a graphics processing unit or GPU. The author, Jeff Tyson, went into detail on how the graphics card takes information from the CPU and makes it into a picture on your monitor. Tyson (2001) brock it down into lemans terms by saying: Think of a computer as a company with its own art department. When people in the company want a piece of artwork, they send a request to the art department. The art department decides how to create the image and then puts it on paper. The end result is that someone's idea becomes an actual, viewable picture. (P.1) I think it is just amazing on how the simple little card can take information and know how to put it on the monitor as a picture. What is even more amazing is how it works with gaming and is able to make these calculations that fast without any issues, that’s if you have the card that can handle the game. Most standard motherboards come with some type of graphics card but if you want to do more then just...

...What is a RAM? (RAM) Random Access Memory provides space for computer to read and write data to be accessed by the CPU (central processing unit)9 (http://kb.iu.edu/data/ahty.html). A sufficient RAM results in faster computer speed and less dependence on the hard disk for supplying data which is needed by the computer to run software applications like MS Office. When a computer has more RAM this reduces the number of times the CPU reads data from hard drive and allows the computer to work faster. Affects on Distant Students: A RAM is several times faster than a hard disk. If a system does not have sufficient supporting RAM the system gets hanged. A computer that has more ram is able to process applications and software faster and results in more speed. If a sufficient RAM is not provided computer will slow down dramatically and will not install software properly or crash while running software and applications. When a PC runs of out RAM then the PC tries to find more Ram and it starts converting hard drive space to RAM and this slows the computer down become unstable and eventually crashes. Distant learning relies mainly on computer and its performance. Speed of computer is of utmost importance in distance learning. If a student is working on a project, assignment or quiz and the computer crashed due to insufficient RAM that will result in loss of marks and academic performance. RAM Specification Recommendation: Windows XP has a bare minimum RAM requirement of 64MB to...

...breadboards" have been and continue to be used by mechanical engineers. Because the solderless breadboard for electronics does not require soldering, it is reusable. This makes it easy to use for creating temporary prototypes and experimenting with circuit design. Older breadboard types did not have this property. A stripboard (veroboard) and similar prototyping printed circuit boards, which are used to build semi-permanent soldered prototypes or one-offs, cannot easily be reused. A variety of electronic systems may be prototyped by using breadboards, from small analog and digital circuits to completecentral processing units (CPUs). URL: (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breadboard ) 2. Resistor A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. The current through a resistor is in direct proportion to the voltage across the resistor's terminals. This relationship is represented byOhm's law: where I is the current through the conductor in units of amperes, V is the potential difference measured across the conductor in units of volts, and R is the resistance of the conductor in units of ohms (symbol: Ω). The ratio of the voltage applied across a resistor's terminals to the intensity of current in the circuit is called its resistance, and this can be assumed to be a constant (independent of...

Carbine Rifle Research Paper

...During this essay we will discuss the Disassembly of an M4 Carbine Rifle. The only items needed to perform these directions provided is an M4, M4 magazine, gloves which are optional and the readers undivided attention. Before any disassembly to any weapon no matter what experience level the person may be, the individual must "clear the weapon" in order to ensure that the weapon is unloaded and that there is no round in the chamber. The first step is to ensure that the weapon is pointed in a safe direction weather it is aimed down range toward targets or toward the ground. You must never point their weapon at something they don’t intend to shoot. Always point your weapon in a safe direction you must always ensure the weapon is on safe at all times until you are ready to use it. To place the weapon on safe move the selector lever on the left side of the pistol grip to the indicated position of “safe”. After you are sure the weapon is on safe you must remove the magazine from the magazine well and lock the bolt to the rear. To accomplish this you must push the magazine release button located on the right side of the magazine well. The magazine should just fall out. Now that the magazine is no longer in the weapon you must now lock the bolt to the rear of the rifle. You will then need to depress the lever on the left side of the charging handle (the T-shaped piece located on the bottom rear of the carrying handle) and pull sharply to the rear. While holding the charging handle all...
