INTRODUCTION:
In today’s busy world people because of their occupied calendar barely get time to keep themselves fit. But some are still there who want to keep themselves fit by taking out time from their busy schedule to do exercise and the same guys stay sound for long lives. Many have habit of doing exercise in Gym and others workout in field.
Along these lines, I as a Marketing Research student is given a task to study about the behavior of the people regarding their views on exercise by conducting interviews both structured(questionnaire) and unstructured.
Market research is done with a particular objective with target respondents to analyze their behavior and needs and accordingly design our product or services.
The standard process for Market Research is given below,

Research Interview: Interview is exchanging of ideas and information between two or more persons by asking questions and giving responses on any given topic. The objective of interview is to gain any relevant information from the respondents and implementing the same.
There can be two types of interviews structured and unstructured.
Structured Interviews: * Structured interview is based on a laid down pattern such as questionnaires were same type of questions are asked from the respondents. * Structured interviews have explicit research objective. * Here the comparison between the responses of respondents is easy. * The responses made are generally shaped by researcher.

Unstructured Interviews: * It is normal conversation between researcher and respondent. * Unstructured interview has implicit research objective. * Here as the conversation proceeds questions automatically emerge in between conversation.

Research Objective:
Objective here is to know the exercise behavior of the respondents by structured and unstructured research interview and find out the differences in responses in both types.
Research Design:
Here we will use exploratory research design.

* Here the above questionnaire is handled over to two persons we randomly met in a mall. The respondents were kind enough to give their responses. * The above questionnaire is a structured one and consist only one open ended question out of total 10 questions. So here we will only get the answer of the questions we want to ask and the answer received will also be in structured manner. * But here I feel that there is a restriction imposed on respondents regarding their response. * They cannot open up and share their experience apart from what is asked in questionnaire. * But structured interview is easy to be conducted when the respondents are large in number.

* Unstructured Research by means of Conversation:

* Here I again went to a nearby mall and picked up two respondents randomly. * I started conversation with both the respondents regarding their exercise behavior. * I was not pre prepared with any questions in my mind but the questions came out emerging as the interview progressed. * Both the respondents here opened up and shared their experience related the exercise they do. * The conversation took little more time than regular structured questionnaires.

Following are the questions which I asked during the conversation:

Do you spread the awareness regarding doing regular exercise among your colleagues?

* These were only some questions out of whole which came into my mind while in conversation with both the respondents. * Here respondents were able to explain the questions I asked to them also with some extra inputs which I didn’t expected. * I got appropriate answers from both the respondents regarding their exercise behavior.
CONCLUSION FROM THE STUDY:
Above we have done a market research regarding exercise behavior of 4 persons by using research interview. For interviewing two persons we used structured interview and prepared questionnaire and for the reaming two we used unstructured interview by means of normal conversation. * In structured interview main task was to prepare questionnaire and once the questionnaire prepared we had to just select two persons and take their response which took very little time as they just have two tick the options given below the questions asked. Here they could not explain more about their experiences on exercise. * On the other hand in unstructured questionnaire we had to select the two respondents and indulge in conversation regarding exercise behavior. Here the respondents were able to explain their experiences and also answered the questions which were asked by me.
