Introduction: With the heightened pace of technological changes, marketers have been forced to reinvent themselves very often to remain relevant. Consumers are increasingly connected to companies and their opinions are highly influential. Markets and supply chains have become complex and require more integration and alignment with the field of consumers (CMO Council, 2011, P10). Online and digital marketing has created a platform of engagement between businesses and the consumers. 3. Background of the study: The internet has led to the creation of a new breed of consumers who are more connected, informed and educated about purchases they make (Kaur, 2012, P1). Instant access to information means the power to influence purchase was shifted from sales to marketers. Marketing became the resource, tool and process through which consumers are reached and converted through valuable content. Consumers research on the web before they make a decision on what to purchase or not purchase. 4. Significance of the study: Strategy, marketing creativity and resources are vital for a marketing strategy to be successful. Technology is part of the resources needed. ...Thank you for submitting your assignment on time. Please see my below comments. Unit 1 Assignment Adam Gray Kaplan University MT-355 Unit 1 Unit 1 Assignment Today, marketing research managers must fully take into account the marketing research process and marketing ethics while conducting their research. According to Brown (2014), the marketing research process is the process of gathering and interpreting data for use in developing, implementing, and monitoring the firm’s marketing plans; whereas marketing ethics are the principles, values, and standards of conduct followed by marketers. To stress the importance of both the marketing research process and ethics, I will apply the principles of each one to a different scenario. The marketing research process is sequence of activities undertaken to provide information needed for decision making (Brown, 2014). The first step of the marketing research process is to clearly define the problem. Typically, the problem at hand can be defined by asking questions such as what is the purpose of the study, what is the source of the problem, and is the research intended to provide information or to make a decision (Brown, 2014). Based upon the scenario, the FlyRight Airline Company is interested in altering the interior layout of its aircraft to suit the tastes/needs of an increasing market segment of businesspeople in which management is planning to reduce the number of seats and install small tables to enable businesspeople to work during...

Business Unit 3 M2

...Unit 3 M2 Tesco M2: Explain the limitations of marketing research used to contribute to the development of a selected organization’s marketing plans. Tesco marketing team experienced some limitations during this market research. One of the limitations of market research to Tesco is cost. It is expensive to organize primary research. For example, it costs a lot to print out questionnaires and pay people to carry out the research. Also, it is expensive to conduct focus group. This affects the profit of Tesco as they have to pay for everything related to making questionnaires and then analyzing their results. A secondary research is a lot cheaper as they will have to collect data from already existing sources and previous data, so it will cost less and it will be done quicker. Another limitation of market research is validity. Validity is the degree of accuracy of the measurement. The information collected must always be valid, otherwise Tesco cannot use it and it is pointless to collect the information which is not valid. Some of the ways in which Tesco are limited by validity are, for example using questionnaires, because people might not give the right information; using interviews, because people might feel shy or intimidated to say their true opinion during the interview; using focus groups, because people might not feel comfortable due to fear of discrimination to say what’s on their mind; using internet, because it changes constantly, so information obtained might be...

The diagram below summarises it. The above model is essential in making marketing decisions.
