Introduction Technology continues to spread across the globe offering to people its sole purpose – to make daily life easier, which people easily grab. For years, people rely on technology, improving it from time to time to reach man’s satisfaction. Computer, cell phone, camera, Ipad, Ipod are proofs that the world is now on its highly contagious high-tech situation. Not so long after the invention of the computer is the rise of the internet. It makes communication all over the world possible. People learn to communicate through the use of electronic mail or email instead of the traditional snail mail. With the use of email, communication among people from different parts of the world becomes faster compared to the snail mail where it takes a lot of time before the receiver receives the mail. As years passed, talented people developed social networking sites by the use of the internet. Facebook, friendster, twitter, tumbler, yahoo messenger and Skype are some of the so-called social networking sites. These sites make socialization through the internet feasible which is mainly the reason why it is created. For instance, facebook, according to its developer Mark Zuckerberg was created to provide an environment where people share whatever information they wanted.
These social networking sites rapidly gain the interest of the people, mostly the students, because it provides fast communication between people from opposite sides of the world. It made possible for people to keep in touch with their loved ones miles away abroad. People can also share their feelings and their mental stresses which is a great way to entertain them after a busy daily routine. Additionally, people can find friends from all over the world with just use of these social networking sites.
