Research from the American Cancer Society indicates having cancer is stressful. Reprieve Spiritual Wellness Center founder, Culeta Hendricks knows first-hand about dealing with stress and breast cancer. Henricks is a survivor. She was diagnosed in ???? Hendricks completed radiation and medication for 5 years. Healing from breast cancer just like opening a nonprofit is a journey, according Hendricks. She believes both experiences have increased her Faith. Hendricks stated, “Reprieve is placed for women to relax. That is why it’s important to give members to breast cancer survivors during national breast cancer awareness month. Our goal is to raise enough money to provide 10 women who have experienced or currently experiencing breast cancer …show more content…
Through Reprieve, she wants to encourage breast cancer survivors to relax. Our luxury suite creates a beautifully serene environment that induces relaxation. We have a reading room, a conversation room, prayer room and massage area. We also have space rental for small gatherings. Come by and visit Reprieve” Several groups are already taking advantage of the beautiful serene environment at Reprieve. Membership is tax deductible. I am so blessed to have survived, at first I didn’t want to talk about it. Then I thought maybe God allowed me to heal from cancer so I could share my testimony and encourage other women to get mammograms and go to the doctor for regular breast examines. When breast cancer is caught early you can beat it.” Hendricks explained, “Even before having breast cancer I always was an advocate for doing monthly self-breast exams, scheduling regular well woman checkup and mammograms.”
