He points out what the requirements of Meaningful Use are and how it is meant to improve the EHR through The Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program. Mushtaq contends that while organizations originally put EHR systems in place to collect data, the market has shifted and health organizations as well as providers have moved more into a value based healthcare environment. He suggests that there are several steps in preparing to become complainant for the requirements for participation through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
