Reg Cox brought up a crucial command God gave us that as Christians we tend to forget. We overlook the calling to love everyone around us because it seems so simple and easy but we do not realize how important it is that we not only love those in our world but to be a positive catalyst.

Cox utilized Bible verses to help prove his main point that we are all called to love those around us, no matter what the circumstance. Within the first five minutes, he mentioned Matthew 22:37 and John 13:34-35. “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’” This is the most important commandment God has ever given His people. It did not take a masters in theology to understand his teachings. He spoke slowly, to be understood, but not enough to rock a listener to sleep. He repeated his main points multiple times to emphasize his main points. “Both are commands. Both involve making the love we believe, the love we live. Making the love we believe, the love we live.” Through his repetition, we sense how important it is that the love we believe in, Jesus, is the love we must show the world.

Cox said “the world we live in is going to challenge and bless you” and we are called to love even through the challenges. We are called to love in our everyday life. God repeated this command many times in the Bible and for good reason; we are forgetful humans who must be reminded of this critical commandment. I discovered that even though I truly believe Jesus loves everyone and I am called to love everyone, I have not loved everyone in my life. When I face challenges in relationships, I have not acted with complete love. But after hearing Cox’s speech, I feel motivated and lead to love those who hurt me and to love everyone in my life even when I do not want
