Fantasies are what offenders think about and are typically very deviant thoughts that are brought on by what scientist believe was masturbation. However there is very little evivence that points to offenders having more fantasies than non offenders. It really comes down to the fact that offenders have more deviant fanatasises and will more likely than not act on them. And similarly triggers are what offenders blame for their actions. A perfect example of a fantasy involving a sexual offender wasn’t sexual related at all. As I have discussed throughout this piece, Bob Hansen was one sick individual. He was so sick that he liked to make some of his victims run around the woods so he could hunt them down. Like fantasies, they believe triggers such as alcohol or drugs manipulate individuals to commit illegal sexual acts. People who are deviant by nature and are sexual offenders have a higher impulse rate than others and may act more on these deviant insticts.
