In a short story by Ron Carlson titled Bigfoot Stole My Wife, the narrator arguest that the reason why his wife has suddenly gone missing is because she was taken by Bigfoot. What this narrator considers to be prove of his claim only success in proving to the audience that he is unreliable and can’t be trusted to give accurate information.
The narrator gives the reader no evidence to prove what he says. After the narrator comes home one night, he notices that the mess in his how is slightly different, and he realizes that his wife and her dog are not home.
