1. COMPETITORS
The competitors’ analysis is based on Down Sweet Lane’s direct and (nearest) indirect competitors. SanFo Treats is selected as the direct competitor as it provides the exact same service as Down Sweet Lane. On the other hand, local buffet catering companies, Elsie’s Kitchen and Angeli have been identified as the indirect competitors. In this case, (beside providing main course dishes) both companies provide an array of desserts that are more westernized, as opposed to the traditional desserts such as Bubur Cha Cha. 2.1 Direct Competitor – SanFo Treats
Located in Manila, Philippines, SanFo Treats offers theme-dessert buffet catering services that has been in operation for the past five years. SanFo Treats takes pride in providing customized designs and concepts for parties that suit all occasions. Themes (of dessert buffet) provided by SanFo Treats include ‘Winter wonderland’, ‘Circles’ etc (Appendix 5).

* Strengths of SanFo Treats
SanFo Treats’ website provides adequate information for customers and business partners. For example, the range of services provided, such as wedding dessert buffets, event coordination etc is clearly stated on its website. Furthermore, the website is visually captivating with aplenty of pictures depicting the various theme dessert buffets it provides. A concise framework of the type of service that SanFo Treats specializes in is provided. Lastly, SanFo Treats engages the use of PayPal as an avenue for online payment. This efficient and effective method eliminates any hassle such as cash handling. * Weaknesses of SanFo Treats 2.

Rosalind Franklin

...Rosalind Franklin: Life through X-ray Crystallography and DNA Rosalind Franklin, the woman who contributed to scientist of the future understanding DNA structure. Scientist such as James Watson, Francis Crick, and Maurice Wilkins benefited greatly from her findings. They received a Nobel Prize based off of her findings. Rosalind was also an X-ray crystallographer. X-ray crystallography is used for looking at atomic and molecular structures of crystal. This work contributed to her discovering the structure of DNA. Franklin was born in London, England, July 25, 1925. She attended an all girls school, which was one of the only schools that offered physics and chemistry. Clearly Franklin excelled at chemistry, as well as all of her other academics. In 1938, franklin attended Newnham College in Cambridge and graduated in 1941. In her graduate year she started a fellowship but in 1942 she started working at the British Coal Utilization Research Association. During this time she studies the porosity of coals, and compared it to the density of Helium. She found that through the pores of coal, substances were expelled in molecular sizes as the temperature increased. These findings helped with coals performance for fuel purposes. Franklin’s work with coals helped with the earning of her doctorate in physical chemistry that she earned in 1945 from Cambridge University. From 1947-1950 Franklin worked in Paris at Laboratoire Central des Services Chimiques de l’Etat. Here Franklin...

'Od's my will! Her love is not the hare that I do hunt: Why writes she so to me? Well, shepherd, well, This is a letter of your own device. SILVIUS  No, I protest, I know not the contents: Phebe did write it. ROSALIND  Come, come, you are a fool And turn'd into the extremity of love. I saw her hand: she has a leathern hand. A freestone-colour'd hand; I verily did think That her old gloves were on, but 'twas her hands: She has a huswife's hand; but that's no matter: I say she never did invent this letter; This is a man's invention and his hand. Why Is James Watson Important

...In 1962 James Watson along with Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins were awarded a Noble Prize for the paper that they published about the discovery of the double-helix model of deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA. The discovery of the helical structure of DNA is considered as one of the most important achievements in the field of the science history. However, James Watson does not deserve the recognition of discovering the helical model of DNA. Watson should lose his nobel prize, not only did he not give any credit to the person who was really the one responsible in discovering the helical shape of DNA he is also making rude and prejudiced opinions. Few people know Rosalind Franklin, a scientist who devoted herself in the scientific study of the structure...

Acting

...Acting Profession Student’s Name Institution Date Once the day ends, the career choice of an individual is mainly about demand and supply. If there is an instance where the demand is more than the supply, then the job opportunities are numerous, and the payment is right. When venturing into a field like acting, a lot of people typically would like pursuing this career choice; however, only a small number of the available job are present and therefore, the job options and payment shrink to small levels. In an acting career, the human instincts of a person and their moral fiber are an important aspect. The person sometimes does not depict similar emotions when asked to do a particular scene again because the second time, the person becomes aware of what they are doing. Also, the constant repetition of a particular action for the sole objective of perfection is a challenging but achievable process. Acting entails the person portraying someone else (Vaughn, 2010). When considering acting as a potential career choice, the person needs to ensure they have a reliable backup plan. Education yourself in another career might enable you to sustain yourself as between acting opportunities. A great actor must always make the audience believe he is going through whatever the character he is playing is going through. The player needs to surprise regularly the viewer as this is one of the most nebulous and important requirement. They need to acknowledge the limitations...

Rosalind Herman Trial

...Thank you for giving me the chance to watch a trial in which I could see the Bill of Rights being used in the real world. Just one month ago, I didn’t even know what the Bill of Rights was. Now I know what each of the ten amendments guarantees, and how it applies to the real world. During the The United States v. Rosalind Herman trial I was able to see many amendments being used. An example was when Judge William G. Young told the jury that everything they learn about the case must be from the courtroom, and that they must remain “impartial”. This is found in the sixth amendment that states that the accused has a right to a lawyer and impartial jury. Another part of the sixth amendment I saw in play was that the accused has the right to a speedy and public trial in the district where the crime was committed. How this part of the sixth amendment was used was a little confusing because the crime was committed in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, the victims of the crime lived in Massachusetts so that is where the trial was held. I also witnessed the part of the fifth amendment being used that stated the alleged must be given "due process" before being deprived of life, liberty or property. I saw this part of the fifth...

What Semi conservative mean is one strand of DNA is used as the template which is usually 15N indicated by the color red for replicating the other DNA strand 14N which is usually blue, using only half the DNA is what makes it Semi conservative (Macy, 2002). James Watson, Maurice Wilkins, And Rosalind Franklin

...In 1950, the curiosity, innovation, and persistence of James Watson, Francis Crick, Maurice Wilkins, and Rosalind Franklin all together led to a detailed and completed understanding of the structure of Deoxyribonucleic acid. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is the genetic material found in all cells and is the stuff that genes are made out of. Their discoveries would come to answer one of the most impending questions in the science of life. How do living things pass on traits to their children? This is the question that sparked the want and need of exploration and discovery. James Watson and Francis Crick are the co-discoverers of the structure of DNA in 1953. Rosalind Franklin was collecting experimental data about DNA with Maurice Wilkins. Watson...

Frederick's daughter, Celia (Rosalind's cousin) flees her evil father with Rosalind and they head (along with Touchstone, the clown) to the Forest of Arden. Before leaving, though, Rosalind falls in love with Orlando and he with her after he beats Charles in a wrestling match. Orlando, the younger son of Sir Rowland, had rebelled at being kept a virtual prisoner by his older brother, Oliver. Duke Frederick and Oliver had hoped that Charles would kill or cripple Orlando in the match, but Orlando managed to throw and injure Charles. Soon after, Orlando flees his older brother, Oliver, after their servant Adam warns Orlando of Oliver's plans to kill him. Orlando and Adam also flee to the Forest of Arden. Duke Frederick, upon finding Celia, Rosalind, and Orlando missing, orders Oliver to find them, or face banishment himself. In the Forest, the cousins, disguised as Ganymede (a male) and Aliena, and the clown Touchstone purchase a shepherd's hut, a flock, and a pasture from two shepherds, Corin and Silvius. In another part of the forest, the banished Duke Senior discusses the philosophy of his melancholy courier Jaques, who is even more mad and morose than usual due to the singing of another courtier, Amiens. When Duke Senior meets him, however, Jaques is now merry, having met the clever fool,...
