Reaction Paper on ' Sa Kabataang Pilipino'When I read the poem ' Sa Kabataang Pilipino' I realized how a great writer Rizal is. Icould hardly understand the lines either in a Filipino or English language. It shows how intelligent, brilliant he is. The words he used for me are all extraordinary, with deep meaning. But if you'll try toanalyze it, the poem tries to awaken the Filipino youth. The poem also shows the love of Rizal to our country and the people. This poem actually tells about the significant role of the youth for the betterment of our country. And since we have a significant role, we should develop a positive character and traits. On the first line Rizal was trying to emphasize how important it would be for the youthto have self- confidence. We should be confident, most especially we're now living in a verycompetitive world. It's one instrument we could actually used to deal with the challenges in our everyday life. Without self- confidence it would be very hard to get along with people and to competewith them. You'll be a loser and will be behind with the normal flow of life. Good thing Rizal didemphasized that our character counts, that we have a significant role to do as we all strive for a better country. The youth will always be the hope of our nation, and so with this poem it only tell us that as ayouth we must develop a positive character. Before I think I says that before we can serve our countrywe should first think of ourselves. On the poem Rizal did also emphasized how important intelligence is. As a youth it isour obligation to learn and nurture ourselves to become a better person. And when we are alreadyeducated and wise we should know how to use it properly, use it a good not in a bad way. Perhaps italso tells us that parents who's responsible for their children should not forget to send them to schooland educate them, and give them a wonderful life. Living without education is like living without anyknowledge of every single thing I this world. We'll never grow if we're not educated, we'll remainignorant for the rest of our lives. And since we have the opportunity to learn and grow, we should notwaste it. After all we could benefit from it, our parents and as well as our motherland. The third stanza tells about how to be a humble person. We should never be very proudwith our accomplishment, with our self to the point that we already stepped on others worth. Instead of being super proud of it, we should always share our successes and accomplishments in life. We shouldnot be the only one who could benefit form it but of course the people who sacrificed for us should alsotaste our victory. And also the poem tells us how to look where we came from. We should not forget our motherland. The poem tells us to explore the world like a curios scientist, because there is always ahidden treasure in our everyday life, something we have to discover. And also it implies that we should be aware what's happening in our society, we should know it's status and we should not be blind withthe truth. During Rizals time, it may be tells us not to be blind with all the sufferings of our fellowFilipinos. When we are aware of the truth, we should also know how to deal with it. If our country isoppressed by foreign nation, we should also know how to fight for our country. As a youth, we should be hardworking, we must aim high. We must strive hard for our future, for our country. We must think that our country needs us, the future lies in our hands. The poems of Rizals only proved that through his writings we can have a bloodlessrevolution, we can settle everything without hurting each other, and we can attain freedom in a silentway. It's true that the life and writings of Rizal can bring great changes in our country. He serves as amodel among the youth and he inspired lots of life. Indeed, as what great hero had said, the youth is thehope of our nation. In our little way we should also inspire anybody, we should also be a great modeltop the young ones
