As the quality of education impacts on children psychologically and intellectually, I believe that education is one of the most basic and important parts in our society. After I had studied English in America for almost one year, I found that American education not only focused on the practical knowledge but also the extensibility of knowledge. American teachers tend to develop students creative and logical thinking ability. However, in China, teachers prefer their students to follow their theory of teaching. Mostly, Chinese principles of teaching are traditional and tight, which cause Chinese students are known as high marks but poor competence when comparing with Western students. With globalization increasing, children who study in the traditional Chinese education environment cannot adapt themselves to the modernized competition quickly. I want to improve teaching in China by introducing these effective instructional theories in the country. I would like to take a part in being a positive influence in the lives of the youth our society.

Basically, I do not have any background in education area, but I have an half-year experience with an autism boy whose name is Justin. He has a mentally disease which comes with social challenges, such as his poor reciprocity. My job is taking care of him, and sometimes I need to teach him some behavioral habits step by step. For example, I taught him to put his shoes back when he forgot to do it after he came back home. At first he did not listen to me, but I kept asking him to do it again and again. After several times, he received my massage and remembered to put his shoes back.. Teaching him develop my patience and tolerance. I realized that education is a construction work, which needs time and passion to build up. Moreover, he is 22-years old but has a mental of four. Inside his strong and tall body is a little boy who

Diabetes Personal Statement Sample

...At age nine, I was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease known as Type One Juvenile Diabetes. My diagnosis ignited my passion for helping others transition through difficult times by volunteering at the American Diabetes Association; this allowed me to experience the “global” healthcare system first hand. As a young unnerved girl who was familiar with the pain of needles, I had the opportunity to witness the problems that plagued the healthcare system firsthand and uncensored. During my extensive stays at various hospitals and physicians’ offices, I realized that the healthcare system was no different than a business. The system was completely plagued by inconsistencies that caused it to fall short of five objectives: cost, quality, consistency, flexibility, and innovation. As the patient and customer, I felt the ramifications of its shortcomings. As I switched between doctors and health insurances, I noticed a stark difference in the quality of care I received. Teaching hospital’s services were cheaper and substandard, protocols varied for the same treatment, most hospitals struggled to accommodate patients, and many lacked current technology and techniques for treatment. Rather than accepting these problems to be inherent to the “global” healthcare system, I decided it needed to change. I chose to double major in Business (Global Politics) and Entrepreneurship and to pursue a certificate in Pre-Health in order to lead the charge to revolutionize, unify, and personalize...

When treating a health disparity such as sickle cell disease, each case presents itself with different complications which causes for the doctor to draw upon many resources to determine the best route of treatment and management for the patients. Whether treating sickle cell anemia or a common disease like coronary heart disease I have gathered that the best care is delivered with compassion and respect for all patients and these are the qualities I intend to implement in my practice as a doctor. My liberal arts education has provided different opportunities for me to be active in the community through volunteer and community service. Fullbright Essay

...required: The Personal Statement and the Study/Research Proposal. These essays serve very different but complementary purposes. Unless noted, the following information comes straight from the Fulbright Web site. THE PERSONAL STATEMENT (1 Page) The following information is applicable to both Study/Research and ETA applicants: The Personal Statement should be a narrative giving a picture of you as an individual.  Remember, applicants are not interviewed on the national level. The Personal Statement is your opportunity to “talk” about yourself and to tell the committee more about how you came to this point in your life and where you see yourself in the future.  There is no single “right way” to approach the Statement; rather candidates will consider what they think is important for people reviewing the application to know about them. The Statement can deal with your personal history, family background, influences on your intellectual development, the educational and cultural opportunities (or lack of them) to which you have been exposed, and the ways in which these experiences have affected you.  Also, you may include your special interests and abilities, career plans, and life goals, etc. It should not be a recording of facts already listed on the application or an elaboration of your Statement of Grant Purpose.   It is more of an autobiography, and specifically related to you and your aspirations. Adhere to the following format: • Statement length is limited...

Koss Corporation

...First, there was only one person managing and assessing the internal control system. According to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), non-accelerated filers require the CEO and CFO to separately perform an assessment on the internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). However, in the case of Koss Corporation, both the CEO and CFO were the same person – Michael Koss. Therefore if he implemented a defective the internal control system, there was nobody there to correct him. Furthermore, the company’s auditor, Grant Thornton, was not required to, nor did they assess the effectiveness of the ICFR. They simply designed their audit of financial statements based on the manager’s report of the ICFR. Consequently, if Michael Koss incorrectly told Grant Thornton that the company had an effective ICFR, Grant Thornton probably designed a financial statement audit with little skepticism. Another problem with the structure of the Board of Directors was the lack of independence. Five out of the six members had been on the board for on average of 32 years, instead of changing members every few years. This violated one of the key elements of having an effective control environment as stated by COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission). As a result, Ms. Sachdeva knew the board well enough to...

The main difference is that a secured loan will use an asset – usually your home – as security, whereas an unsecured loan is available to most people provided they have a decent credit rating and are in employment. A Personal loan is generally taken by borrowers who are looking for loans for quickly and with minimum documentation. In addition, since there is no monitoring of the end use, it gives flexibility to the borrower to use the loan for any purpose they like. A Personal Loan is taken by a borrower for his/her individual wants and needs; it is commonly referred to as an unsecured loan because there is no security/collateral against it. It is also called “All-purpose loan” at times as there is no...
