1. During a job interview the principal of a middle school asked if you are “highly qualified” for the position. How would you respond?
My response: I am qualified in terms of experience and knowing what are the needs of the children. I am not highly qualified but I know how to deal with the children. Some people are highly qualified and still don’t know how to manage their classroom. I am qualifying myself at the University of Belize currently on my last semester before internship. 2. Imagine that during lunch, several teaching colleagues comment that because many students in their courses “can’t read,” these teachers rarely use books. They argue that students learn content just as well through audio visual aids and discussion.
My response: This is partly true what they are saying but it is very important that these students know how to read.
