Topic 1: Schools should focus students on subjects they need for the future. Subjects like music and sports are not useful. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answer.

Education systems at schools have been said to be not effective recently. One of the main reasons is that the overload at school distracts students from their major. People say students should be taught subjects they need for their future and subjects such as music and sports are not useful. I do not agree with this opinion.

Firstly, students need to develop completely both mentally and physically. We cannot say that sports are not useful. Sport keeps us healthy and gives us strength to work efficiently. If you are sick, you cannot go to school and find it difficult to study everything. That sport is brought into education system at schools is necessary. Students have to play games and take part in outside activities to relax and develop other skills. Like sport, music is important too. Music helps to stimulate brain. Music makes studying more interesting and released. Students have to sing national anthem and perform in special days like Opening or Teachers’ day. So how can students sing if they are not taught music at school.

Secondly, there are a lot of students who love music and sports beside their major. Music and sports attract children in different ways and more students are becoming keen on them. If schools dismiss these subjects, it may discourage students from other subjects too. In addition, the ability of young generation is not limited. They can be good at various aspects. We can say for sure that when students learn with their enthusiasm, new talents in music and sports will be discovered right at school. In conclusion, students need to study different things to explore and complete themselves. Each subject has its own function in educating

Relatives

...Grammar notes: relative clauses Definition A relative clause is a part of a sentence beginning with a relative pronoun (although this pronoun can be omitted in certain cases). For example: The company where I worked is called International Enterprises Plc. The man who went into the baker's bought a loaf of bread. My sister, who lives near London, is coming to visit me soon. Basic relative pronouns The relative pronoun you use depends on the thing you're talking about. Generally speaking, the most basic ones are these: for people for things for places for reasons for times who/that which/that where why when Who, which and that cannot be used indiscriminately. That can only be used in defining relative clauses. Trickier relative pronouns Four relative pronouns often seem to confuse people, but they're easy to use too. WHICH This can be used to refer to the whole part of the sentence that went before. Usually a pronoun refers to a noun, but this refers to more. For example: I've broken my leg, which means I can't walk. I've still got some money left, which is surprising. WHOM This is hardly ever used in spoken English, and not often in written English. It sounds very formal to most people. If you're going to use it at all, then only use it after prepositions. Even so, there's usually another less formal way to say the same thing. For example: The woman to whom he was talking is his sister. The woman that he was talking to is his sister. WHOSE This is used to show...

...science and technology. This advancement is to make life easy and to increase human comfort at home and at work and I would like to be an integral part of such betterment. For this, research would be of prime importance with hands on experience in real time Applications accompanied by in-depth knowledge of the subject. Technology, today, means power in the widest sense and merely the power of mind. And it is this power potential that has given it the status it now enjoys. It was this fascination that led to my interest in Technology, in general. And in this context I would like to accomplish my master’s degree in Computer Science. A technologist’s job is one that requires a lot of discipline and so does its study. A person studying to become a technologist, along with the ability, requires dedication and perseverance. None of these, however, is possible without passion for the subject. I have true passion for Computer Science which gives me the determination to dedicate myself completely to its study. In-depth knowledge of any subject is possible only if one makes an effort to dig deep into the intricacies. This I realized when I started participating regularly in my school science fairs right from class five. The study and hands-on experience in making working models to explain scientific phenomena like electromagnetism, earthquakes and drip-irrigation polished my problem solving skills. Apart from this I was totally in awe of the fascinating marvel called Computer that has...
